Have played this course before a fair bit, the course itself is fine and location is obviously convenient. But I am turned off it recently due to a particular staff member being pretty unwelcoming and passive. This is the only course I’ve ever known to just not answer the phone at any stage if they are fully booked, which seems to make it difficult to get a chance to book or at least get a “ sorry we’re booked up “. Won’t be looking to play here again.

Greens in good condition and rest of the course not bad. Easy to find ball if you can't hit it straight like me.

I had the privilege to be coached by Angel and it has been a game changer. His expertise in refining my swing and addressing specific issues has significantly improved my performance. It’s not only his technical knowledge but his constant positivity and motivation which made each session both effective and fulfilling. Beyond the technical knowledge Angel also offered valuable insights into mental aspects of the game and strategic approaches to course management. His holistic approach to coaching has deepened my appreciation for game. I highly recommend Angel to anyone looking to elevate their golf game.

Friendly and kind staff, peaceful place to play. Heads up traffic road seems not far from the course… another kind of obstacle.
Ps. David rocks!

I witnessed the discussion in the shop today and I thought the staff handled the situation really well. I knew that they would write a negative comment which is entirely unfair.
I was intrigued as they said they enjoyed the lesson but they flat out refused to pay the extra $100 to the golf pro even though they made a booking based on a single person but 2 turned up.
Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed my round today despite the windy conditions.
Recommending this course to any level golfer.

My dad and I had no experience with golf and we booked online a $250 2-hr lesson for the first time here with coach Damian Hall. After I booked the lesson, I called the Club to check if the lesson was indeed for two people. The person who answered the phone said he would leave a note for the coach that two people would attend. The lesson itself was enjoyable, but as we were about to leave, the coach and staff members stopped us and said we needed to pay an additional $100. They said that the lesson we booked was for one person and it was in fact $380 for a 2-persons 2hr class. We were taken aback by this and tried to tell them that I had called beforehand and asked about this and there were no mention of a change in price. For any bookings, the Club requires full payment beforehand. My parents and I had arrived at the shop 30 minutes prior to our scheduled lesson. If the staff members were dealing with any good faith, how come the additional unpaid amount was only mentioned when I was half way out the door? Regardless, I was willing to pay and asked the staffs where can I find the pricelist that details the stated amount. They could not produce any documentation whether online or hardcopy that details this sum. What's worse is that one of the staff threatened to call the police and accused us of stealing from the coach. The coach himself directed personal insults questioning my integrity and conscience as a medical professional. What I believed to be a case of miscommunication turned into accusations, belittling and passive aggression directed at me.

Leaving out details such as additional prices, whether intentionally or not, is defined as a form of misleading under the ACL and is illegal. With no documentation of any kind stating the price of a 2-persons lesson, I had reasons to believe that the Club was not dealing with good faith. In the end, my family was told to leave and never return. I am still willing to believe that this was all due to miscommunication of the pricing, but it is beyond me why threats of calling the police and personal attacks were necessary. I was deeply hurt by the language they threw at me.

What a shame.

EDITED: The Club has contacted me and offered me their appologies. They have offered me a refund to the lesson, to which I declined since I did enjoy the lesson itself.

3.5 hours to play 9 holes on a Tuesday morning!
Where is the course management of tee times and players speed
Understand is a public course but 3.5 hours for 9 hours is taking the piss

First time playing here on Sunday morning. Course was overbooked, we had to let about 3 groups of comp players that started off on the back nine go in front of us, so our tee-off was delayed by 15 mins, and it took 3 hours to play 9 holes. The back nine was not too bad as the comp players in front of us had finished, but it was disgraceful going at 20 mins a hole.

To make matters worse the course was in very average nick. Not worth $47 in green fees.

To top it off, we were not told or aware that we had to pay for parking, and we made it quite clear to the pro shop that it was our first time there. I did notice a sign is there but a $90 parking ticket just topped off what was a really unenjoyable experience.

I have had the pleasure of being taught by Grace Lennon, and I cannot recommend her enough. Not only did she teach me a great deal about golf but she always makes the learning experience incredibly enjoyable. Her fun and engaging teaching style made every lesson a delight. Without a doubt10/10 rating. If you're looking for a golf instructor who combines expertise with an enjoyable atmosphere, she is the one to go to.

Did not enjoy this course from the moment i got there, paid 3 hour parking? A round takes what 4+ hours.yes i got a fine!
Didn't get told about any permits if there are permits?
the course is average at best, the tee of times where running behind, was the slowest game i ever played and had a group of 6 hitting up on us all day!
the scenery with the city in the background is the nice part.

Decent parkland course, par 72, with some distance on the front 9 to keep long hitters interested. Greens aren't all flatbeds some subtle contouring makes them interesting. Nice views of Melbourne skyline from around the course as well!

Make sure you're not in a rush if you're planning on playing a Saturday morning, course gets pretty slow.

The staff at the pro shop are very unwelcoming and aggressive. The course plays extremely slow. We were waiting 10-15 minutes on every hole for the backlog ahead to clear. The fairways are not in good condition and on a number of holes you will be welcomed with dirt on the fairway rather than grass.

What a gem of a golf course! Perfectly located just outside the CBD, it's easy to get to and have a quick round! The course is surprisingly very well maintained and easily playable even in the wet (not as muddy as most Vic course have been during the wet seasons). The entire AP-G staff is very friendly: Paul, David, Angel, Chucky, Sam and others make it very accomodating and inviting! Just recently had the opportunity to take some little cousins to play Albert Park Mini Golf - and wow what an experience! The little ones couldn't stop laughing and jumping around ecstatic over their putts and facing novel themed mini golf holes - especially when they got to AP's take on "Jurassic Park" with dinosaurs towering above them as they navigated through those holes. Definitely a family-friendly golf course for both young and old - perfect with tables for picnics - there's something for everyone at Albert Park Golf - And with very competitive and reasonable pricing - I'll be returning as often as I can for golf and taking the little ones for mini golf whenever they're on holidays - Well done Team-AP!

Really disappointing and frustrating experience at this public course. Poor management with overbooking groups on Sunday morning. It took 5 and a half hours to play 18 holes due to overbookings and no course marshal to monitor the flow of the course. My morning tee time at 1045am was delayed by 20 mins! No accountability when issue was raised in the pro shop and won’t be playing here again.
Consideration should be given to amending the booking structure to one that is conducive to better flow of play and golfing experience. Lastly the condition of the 17th tee box and fairway was a disgrace and really let down the hard work put into the rest of the course.

One of the worst golf courses, if not the worst we have played. The course itself was very unkept, fairways were full of huge dirt patches and rocks. The rough was full of dirt and sticks as well. It was incredibly difficult to play on.

On top of this we payed for “premium” hire clubs. These were mis matched with the grips falling apart. It was over $200 for 2 people for 9 holes, absolute waste of money.

Been a few times now, great fun for all ages. Well planned out holes, just tricky enough for all.
Well priced compared to other mini golf.
Highly recommended.

Had a great game of 18 holes here today. The course is beautiful. Big thanks to the guy in the Pro Shop “Paul”, he was so incredibly helpful. Also, Lisa there makes the best coffee in Albert Park!

Enjoyed playing this relatively flat simple course. For me I found the greens tricky, they didn't seem to agree with my interpretations of how much the ball would curve. Plus we had ballooning visitors which was very cool.
