Golden Nugget Bakery reviews
52 The staff are great here, and there's a wide range of treats to choose from. Their pies are nice, as is the apple custard doughnut. Drive through is very convenient on a lousy winter day in Ballarat!
On another visit I had an apple slice. It wasn't the best one I've ever had, for sure, but the wonderful service makes up for any other shortcomings. I ordered a babycino for my dog and they made sure it was safe for him, ensuring there was no chocolate in it.
Very good quality pastries and delights especially the vanilla slice. Coffee was nice and hot thank just how we like it. Highly recommend this bakery.
Fantastic Pies and pasties and the vanilla slice was brilliant I wish I got more I'm going to go back again it's well worth checking it out
I spend too much money here.
This is not a stab at the bakery.
I have no will power and the food is great!
The coffee was way way too strong it was so bitter even adding milk didn't make it taste any better I'd go as far as to say worse takeaway coffee I've ever had
The food is always great and normally customer service good. On this occasion ordered two hot drinks mine being a large English Breakfast Tea. Asked if black is white and I said milk please. When it came was black so went to counter to ask for milk and told the girl I asked for white tea.could I have some milk. Quite abruptly told "No.no you didn't.you asked for black.rude and abrupt. She then went and got some milk for me. My mate heard me order and said the girl was not only wrong but rude. Very disappointing won't come back again.shame been going there for years.
Robert.
Very disappointed that the Apple custard donut has changed in size and flavour. We were disappointed some months ago when the apple content dropped and now been completely changed, to a round donut, with minimal filling and the taste of the custard, has changed, and no apple chunks at all. As an ardent apple custard lover, I'm bitterly disappointed.
Bought 2 cinnamon scrolls today (Monday) very disappointed. No cinnamon throughout scroll, one scroll very tiny, other one average (not as large as usual) did not think the value was there today.
Good drive thru bakery with option to eat-in. Very friendly and inviting. Good coffee. Always hot. Great donuts and slices. Kids meals. Lunch deals. Can get abit busy in drivethru however it seems to move reasonably quick.
Best Vege pasties in Ballarat, besides my own homebaked.
Their Eclairs are absolutely Devine.
Very busy still when i went but they moved the line quick n had everything i wanted so naturally got a few extra things i hadnt planned all yummo
Coffee and cake awesome, not that busy in store but the drive thru was very busy. Customer service awesome.
Love going to this place, coffee is always good and love there bread
Very friendly staff large variety of of yummy stuff.
First time customer on recommendation of others
Bread was great, the pastie was really very good ran 2nd to the best pasties in Victoria
Drive thru bakery. Abso - freakin' - lutely!
Lots of other things to do in Ballarat but the fact this place exists is reason enough to visit.
First time I have ever been to a bakery with a drive-through. Beautiful fresh bread. I will be coming back next time I'm in Ballarat. In about 10 weeks.
Extremely over priced food. I got a chicken baguette that was 7$ and it literally came as a half. The other half clearly reserved for another paying customer.
The sweets as a whole taste like they are store bought mixes and the price is honestly laughable.
The ONLY good thing about this establishment seems to be the staff.
Staff are friendly, offering a variety of choices from pastries, focaccias, sandwiches and of course cakes
One of my mates suggested that it was an absolute rippa, and it didn't turn down our expectations. Nice food, great staff and extravagant coffee.
Very nice pies and foccasia. There pepper steak pie is. Let just say you are not in doubt its pepper pie
