What a wonderful experience. Food and service as good as anything we have experienced here and overseas. Setting just superb, a credit to the owners.

Awesome experience and food, we booked a table of 12 tonight and sat in the beer garden. Food was well cooked and presented in a modern and elegant manner. Craft beer was fresh and chilled. I would recommend this venue for date night or adults or work functions. The only issue is their is no real accessibility for patrons in a chair or mobility issues due to the Heritage nature of the property and sloped grounds with no Ramps. Keep up the good work!

Wouldn’t expect the lovely setting looking from the outside. The extended garden behind the building was modern with specks of the historical deco. Good food with an interesting wine list.

The tasting platter had a very tasty selection. Enough for 4 to share as starter. Really enjoyed the pate. The barramundi was so good. Loved the mix of flavours. But the dessert! The sponge. Don't be put off if you don't care for sponge. It was more like a Madeira cake with pistachio mousse, fresh figs, and fig leaf icecream. All the flavours were just right. Only complaint.felt so ful! Oh and the wine list is amazing. My husband found a chocolate flavoured stout which he enjoyed.

We had our end of year work break up party in the gardens out back this Arvo. Food was sublime! Great flavours, good amounts and nice variety! Perfect atmosphere in the gardens for a summer luncheon!

Whilst the service was nothing short of excellence and the food was met with approvals from all the diners, unfortunately the atmosphere had a glaring detraction. The sun setting in the western window of the outdoor dining area shone very irritatingly in our eyes for most of the evening. Come on guys, a simple blind would made our evening so much more pleasant!

It is a nice place. The beer gardens are impressive and they are some of the best in the state. There was a lot of new staff, so be prepared to adapt to the waiting period. Our family was waiting up to 40 minutes for our meal. Otherwise, the chicken parmigiana is one of the better dishes. The chicken was nicely cooked and the cheese was well spread. The tomato sauce was a little runny, but it went well with the salad. I'll give it another try soon.

Nicely restored historic pub/ restaurant with a lovely garden to the rear of the building. Meals are very nice, quantities of the mains dishes could have been bigger for the price you pay.

Food was very underwhelming and bland compared to old menu. Selection of tap beer was disappointing as we had become accustomed to a better and more unique selection. The decor is nice and the service is very good but venue no longer has the smart country charm it had under previous ownership. Don't let old reviews from last year or beyond fool you. Venue has some work to do before even being remotely close to what it was in its hayday.

I love this unique, "old worldy" Hotel and look forward to returning again.

We celebrated a birthday here back in June 2018 just before new owners took over. Hope they retain the charm of this establishment.

Gorgeous venue, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. The food was standard pub fare, but worth it for the experience.

Nice pub, mainly outdoor beer garden which is great. Meals ok service excellent but new owners coming week after our visit so this review might be pointless. Still a good outdoor area!

I went here for (I think) the first time ever and I was amazed by the large and scenic beer garden, the biggest and best I've seen.

I ordered the kickin' chicken pizza and is was perfect; it really hit the spot.

Fantastic all Craft Beer venue in an iconic hotel. Staff are knowledgeable and super friendly, the food is outstanding and it features what would arguably be the best beer garden in Victoria

Definitely a hidden gem but glad I stopped by, live music was good and the beer garden is great for relaxing with drink and snacks. Food was really good the starters were fantastic and the pork belly was amazing. Parmigiana and fish and chips were very good and the aioli was delicious.
