Been around 9 years since I dined in and nothing has changed. Some dishes still lukewarm and borderline cold and service is average at times.

Taste was there but it's very average compared to Sunshine and Docklands Gold leaf branches.

As always, great place to go with family and friends. One of the guys that bring you to your table (in suit) was friendly and funny. At first the food came slowly but it just needed some time to get it rolling. The trolley ladies gave short description of the food in their trolleys but its all about just trying the dishes that look good:) and DON'T FORGET TO HAVE the mango pudding!

Quality if the food was excellent. Service was very efficient but the wait staff tended to be a bit on the severe side, not overtly friendly.

Over booked and under staffed for CNY dinner, waited over 1.5 hours still nothing on the table, all you care about is revenue with no customer service whatsoever. If no repeat business is your business model then you've certainly achieved that.

一個年夜飯吃的心情極差,不夠人手就別開那麼多桌位,等了快兩小時桌上什麼都沒有,要什麼東西都要說三次以上,上的菜沒有一個是熱的。

Booked in for a 2pm yum cha sitting. Were rushed to a table where we were very quickly and forcefully offered a trolley. The calamari was stone cold and most of the dumplings were just warm at best. No more food came out for a further 40 mins, resulting in us asking and being told we had to order if we wanted anymore food. They brought out what we asked for immediately and it was once again cold. We were then charged a ridiculous amount for what we were served. Terrible experience, will not be going back.

Went to Gold Leaf Preston on Friday 12th Feb 2021 Not a great experience Rude staff, food not great quality The staff looked after their own, just goes to show you, one has to be Chinese to get good service
Will not recommend or return to this restaurant. Helen

Yum cha was enjoyable on Sundays, price is not too expensive. We average usually $20 - 25 per person

Really weird experience. Had to choose between 2 sitting times came to the first one. Only a small number of options to choose from. I would say only 1/4 of the menu seemed available. Kept speaking to us in Cantonese when neither of us are Chinese. Empty restaurant just watching us eat. Sat for 15 mins with no food on our table and wasnt attended to for more options or to see if we would like anything else. My partner had to get up to find a waitress to ask if there were anymore dishes to choose from. Couple next to us returned 2 of their dishes as they were frozen. Waste of time and money.so disappointing we were really excited to come in.

Used to go in to the city or to Doncaster thinking that's where the good yum cha was. GOLD leaf is the best in town at an excellent price.

Went to yum cha today and the service was terrible, the staff were lazy and not paying attention, I had to wave them down to order food multiple times. Food was average.

Was a very good yumcha place years ago, one of the most reasonable priced and delicious selection yumcha in Melbourne. BUT not anymore, food is average, service is not good, do not feel welcome at all in that place. Average Chinese dim sum. Good variety but taste is average and loaded up with MSG. Portion sizes are good for the price.

Service is standard Chinese style with limited English.

Cleanliness needs improving as the floor was sticky with food scraps.

Like a hidden gem in Preston. Very nice yumcha with the feeling that you are dining in Hong Kong. Food are great, a little bit pricey though.

What a gem. Tucked away in a little arcade, then upstairs awaits the best Yum Cha to traverse these lips.
Attentive staff, spacious and every dish greeted with enthusiasm by our table. Don't miss.

Disappointed in the take away service, ruined my loyal dining experience that ive had here for many years.
I order over the phone, the 3 dishes took 5min to confirm my order. After 20min went to collect pickup order but they still hadnt begun to prepare my order. Waited another 10-15mins for my food, i checked if its all there but its food that wasnt cooked as requested (no prawns but dish had prawns). Wait another 5-10min all food ready to pickup.
Disappointed in chopped up Singapore noodles (not long stringy noodles but look like soneones mum had chopped them up for a child) that were very ordinary tasting. Good fried rice and san choi baw.
