Gold Indian Restaurant reviews
75 Nice vegetarian restaurant and sweet shop.
Went there 4 times and had 50-50 experience with dishes.
Worth visiting for those who are looking for 100% veg restaurant.
About space: little squizzed and better reserve seats if you are going in bigger group.
How to reach:
By car (road side parking available), glenhuntly train station and also tram stop near by.
Pricing: little expensive
This place never disappoints me. Very good quality food with authentic taste. A must go to place for vegetarians. Aalo tikki chat, raj kachori and other chats are also very well done. Vegeterian curries and very authentic indian taste. Restaurant puts a lot effort in every dish I can say.
Food is good but a little oily. We forgot to so them not to put oil on our rotis and it was wire oily. The Chaat platter was really nice.
Food is nice, ambience is good, great location. May be overpriced tiny bit and need a wash basin.rest is good.
Had a nice family time.
Don't order online. Its a scam. Many people have same review and I today I realized it. Big variance what they show in Menu and what they charge in restaurant.
Also, they have a very unprofessional behaviour.
Infact 0 rating but no option: (
Most recommended 100% Vegetarian restaurant. Loved the Amritsari Kulcha thaali as well as the Vada Pau. Amazingly tasty & freshly cooked food, the team at this restaurant is very welcoming!
Was good earlier. Standards dropping all the time. Today they crossed all limits. A bysmally unhygienic and serve reheated spoilt food. Toilet bin overflowing. The only waiter was cleaning the tables with a dirty cloth and put all the food crumbs from the table on to the floor We just walked away. We will never come back. All of us are having stomach cramps. I will be notifying the Monash Council health department
Restaurant name is Gold Sweets but when asked for sweets to order for Deepavali, the counter girls told. No sweets! This seems silly. Found hair twice in the food at different times. Ones in vada pav, infomed owner. Second time, it was in Paneer Chole Bature. Seriously cooks need to wear headcaps.
Gulab Jamun fresh from the Haldirams tin. I wish I can rate zero here too. Food is Below average. Tried it once never went back after the experience.
Not recommended at all.went to eat in this restaurant I just ate aloo tikki taste was awful and it gave me stomach cramps first and it changed into food poisoning.which gave me blood in diarrhoea and I ended up going to hospital.will never go at this place again They deserve 0 star.
The Bombay chats were tasty. The staff are courteous. We subtracted 3 stars for
1. The price and quantity. The price is too high for the quantity served.
2. The indo Chinese food could do with significant improvements. There is no flavour to it
Good for north Indian food but do not try south Indian. Tried biryani and it's no way closer to authentic. Would prefer only for north Indian food and parantha (potato) is good. Paneer parantha is not good when I ordered. Prices a little high but not that great service as well.
Wonderful experience dining here. High point was the taste. Near perfect for all the dishes we ordered. Service was a tad slow. But considering the taste the wait was worth it. Fans of Indian Veg food. GO try this today!
Most Amazing Taste in Melbourne so far in a Pure Veg Resraurant.
Perfectly spiced with satisfying punch of spices.
Real Indian taste, no sweet gravies.
Polite and quick service.
Best punjabi food we ever had after coming to Melbourne. We have tried so many restaurants but experience at Gold was the best. Food with perfect blend of spices, Garlic naan with real naan and not the ready made garlic paste, Masala Lassi was awesome. Last but not the least its percentage pure veg and also food with no onion and garlic available. We would definitely recommend this place to all our friends. Service could be little slow but its worth waiting and also it means they don't keep food ready and just microwave.
Wish I could give you 0 stars, most of the things we had either had no taste or stale food. Your quality of food has just degraded in last 3 years and I would never be visiting your place again.
The food is okay, but make sure you ask them how are they charging you. They charged me 14$ for 2 pieces of parantha, when it is advertised for 8 on their menu and website. When asked they are not even apologetic. Make sure to get your receipt and check the price you have been charged against the menu. Even the food portion is small
Had a bad experience. Owner not customer friendly. I ordered food online by checking rates on their website but actually they charged me higher than what was displayed on their website and when I asked for refund they simply refuse and said they have recently changed the rates. Ideally they can't charge me higher rates than what they offer on their website.very unprofessional behaviour.will never go again and guys be careful while ordering kadhai paneer you have to actually
search paneer in the gravy flooded with tomatoes.
Good range of menu options. Quick service despite the large number of items we ordered. Food itself is okay, have had better at other restaurants. The quantity is good though and we were very very full at the end of the meal.
Food and staff 11/10 but horrible service (unpleasant wait times) owners need to organise for more staff!
