Glenlyon General Store reviews
48Visited on a day when we were blessed with clear blue autumn sky. Had a lovely lunch served in good time by attentive staff. Will definitely be returning. Glenlyon is quite "off the beaten track" but well worth a detour to enjoy a pleasant lunch in cosy surroundings.
Very delightful, love the staff the hot chocolates are amazing food is very good and would recommend
Nice little store deli and restaurant. Great coffee and savoury muffins were delicious. Lot's of interesting food for sale in the deli.
Glenlyon General Store is 'quaint'. The coffee was very good as was the cake. Table service was efficient, staff cheerful. However it was not clean, need to be completely cleaned.
Yummy food and coffee. For vegetarians/vegans I recommend the lunch menu as the breakfast menu is quite limiting. The food store is great!
No Optus phone reception. Telstra is okay!
Stepping through the entrance of this shop, you're greeted with elements of yesteryear mixed with bright and bubbly staff (and good coffee).
The assortment of food you can buy to take home is top shelf as are all the items on the menu for a sit down meal.
Such a cozy, beautiful place that is full of history and deliciousness.
Will definitely come back.
Wow what a find! Great selection of local gins, japanese pantry items, small goods, drinks and scrumptious baked goods!

A fabulous gem with great meals, wonderful pantry, pet friendly, best coffee. Make it a day trip!
Cosy country cafe with a great pantry, featuring local produce, wines, and spirits. The egg and bacon brekky rolls are simply delicious - combined with good coffee and the outdoor fire pit it's the perfect way to start a winter's day.
Absolutely fabulous! Great service, great food, great staff (especially the gorgeous kathleen!)
Staff were very friendly even with being very busy. Communication was amazing. Felt very relaxed while waiting on a take away coffee on my way home to Heathcote
Absolutely divine, I Iove this quirky, homely yet ever so tastefully furnished ‘general store’. It’s pleasant ambiance makes you feel warm and cosy. The staff are delightful and the food is consistently good, with seasonal change of menu so there is always something new to look forward to. I always look forward to coming here and feel welcomed and looked after by the team. Great selection of local and international wines, beers and spirits, plus you can pick up a few extra treats for home. I was particularly treated with kindness there the other week by two of the team members, so thank you. Always accommodating, gracious and hospitality, a must visit!
PS: they make a great Martini!
Delightful country pub, amazing food, great wine, what more could you ask for on a sunny Sunday afternoon?
Lovely old general store beautifully restored and operating as a licensed restaurant. New outdoor area with tables and chairs, umbrellas and grapevines is a great addition. Even has a bowl of water and dog bed. Food is excellent.
Have been going here for breakfast with a group of motor cycling friends for over a decade.
Went there Sunday 13/1/19 for brekky - wont be going back again.
Staff were rude and turned us off the place for once and for all.
Friendly staff, Duncan and the team put on a great menu and the local wine selection is excellent
