Glenlyon General Store reviews
48Signs a bit misleading it's not your typical store however nice atmosphere coffee terrific cake was lovely
Just wish that this local store was open more often. But the entire region lacks staff. The housing crisis, cost of living crisis.have I omitted any crisis?
The boys had beef burger and the best burgers. I had a keto chicken burger and it was the most delicious and the first burger I had in 18 months since being on keto due to health issues. Thank you so much for delicious food, great service and friendly atmosphere. Definitely will be back ️
Boutique store in the Bush. Great food and plenty to drink! Friendly efficient service. Very busy on the long weekends
Best hamburger I’ve had for years! If you’re in the glenlyon area around lunchtime we highly recommend visiting the general store for lunch ️
Friendly, prompt service in a sunny courtyard with shade covered tables. My Beef Burger was juicy and delicious and my dining companion's Glenlyon Toastie was equally great. My coffee was full flavoured while not being bitter An all round great experience.
We had a fantastic experience at the Glenlyon General Store. The service was friendly, the gardens and decor were lovely and the food delicious. We'll be back (for another fabulous Glenlyon Toastie & Coconut & Almond Torte) again in the future.
Quaint cafe stocked with loads of delicious local produce. Food and coffee were excellent BUT the owner of this establishment needs to smile occasionally, learn some social skills and good manners. We were moved from our table unnecessarily and then felt obliged to leave when reservation signs and menus were put on our table indicating someone was arriving in an hour! We decided not to have another coffee and cake as we were clearly in the way.even though there were numerous tables free all around us. Just bad manners and a grumpy old man who needs to leave the service to his nicer staff members.
Just spotted this one on our drive, had a sticky date and turned out to be the best one ever had.
Great place to stop for lunch and wine. Gets busy. Waitress extremely helpful. Cosy atmosphere and country style. Loved it.
Love this place. We were initially seated under an umbrella at an outdoor table when we first arrived. I got a little chilly so I went back to the car for a cardi. The guy looking after us must have noticed and asked if we wanted to be moved to a table in the sun.which was lovely. Great food, helpful, friendly service. Try the Vodka Sunrise
Such a wonderful space to shop for all of the interesting and wonderfully presented produce. They make a mighty and delicious salad roll as well!
The Glenlyon General Store is cute, quirky, fun and delicious. An array of gourmet produce, wines, food and great coffee.
Duncan and the team are warm and friendly. Would highly recommend visiting! X
My go to spot.great, food, drinks and supplies with a bit of country flare and character. The staff treat us like family. We always leave with a giggle and a smile. Love the GGS team and everything they do for our community Feeding us and slanging the good Gins!
Lovely outdoor area. We had a toasted sandwich which was superb and eggs and bacon one toast plus coffees. Friendly service
Best burgers ever! Love this place - excellent menu, fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff! Well worth a visit, I can't stop returning! Thank you
Had a wonderful lunch here today, a real gem in the beautiful town of Glenlyon. Delicious food and great service from the always friendly and welcoming staff. Also a great place to stop for local produce and alcohol:)
Big nope from me. Decent (albeit grossly overpriced) product, but service and coffee was horrendous.
Love this quaint little spot. Great food, coffee, staff and ambience. The gin collection and wine cellar are a must see.
A delightful gem of a store located 10 mins from the hustle and bustle of Daylesford. So lovely to be able to sit outside in the gardens on a sunny day. Everyone made such an effort with my mum who was visiting from the UK. Coffees were great, food delicious and service prompt. Great use of local produce and we took home an awesome bottle of Rose and some locally produced strawberry jam. (I visited again today to buy another jar of the Strawberry jam). Thanks guys!
