I bought some fabric online, and Georgia was incredibly helpful with a sample and back order for a fabric which was out of stock. The care with which it was packaged made it even more exciting when it arrived.

Love GJs. My go-to for any Lycra or dance fabric and also a favourite store for quilting, the staff are always so helpful and friendly. Go for the huge range, stay for the smiles.

A fantastic local gem with beautiful unique fabrics and a very helpful team. There's a stock of specialist equipment like tailor's hams nestled in a small but mighty habadashery area and the ladies who staffed the shop were very friendly and helpful.

Wide variety of fabrics for many things, quilting, dance, dress making, callisthenics etc. Ladies are extremely knowledgeable and so approachable. Love my visits here.

Well stocked especially if you want simplicity patterns out of stock elsewhere. But overall, despite four staff on hand, I felt like the staff (except one lady you might be the manager) really didn't want to assist me. The one person who did finally assist was fine.

Fabulous service always at GJ’s! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The range of fabrics is extensive. I love their little scroll bundles (fat sixteenths) near the counters for a quick quilting colour splash. Easy to buy! Online is great too but sometimes you have to see the fabric for real inspiration and instant satisfaction! Wide range of sewing notions and quilt patterns. Definitely worth a visit. Parking is available too.

Amazing collection of quilting cottons and fabrics used for dance (think stretchy; shiny; floaty; colourful). They have all the usual notions and equipment needed for quilting (or general sewing). Very helpful staff.

The place to go for kids dance costume fabrics and quilting fabrics. The ladies here are absolutely lovely and very helpful. I always prefer to see if they have what I need since it's conveniently located for me and I would always rather shop local!

Great quality fabrics. Friendly customer service and a incredibly lower price rate for materials in comparison to other well known brands. I know this because I've bought the same fabric from here and several other shops for a video production project. I'd definitely recommend GJ's.

Went in to buy printed transfer paper where I could print my image and iron it onto the fabric. The lady said to buy the "Thermoweb Heatnbond Ez Print Lite Iron On Adhesive". It is not the correct product and ended up wasting my time and money. Not impressed.

Super friendly staff and an astounding range, I was instore for quite some time being spoilt for choice. I will say the "Discount" part of the name is quite misleading and they are probably the most expensive fabric store out there. Visit for the range, not the prices.

Wonderful customer service. I am a sewing novice and the ladies were so helpful in assisting me to find the right materials to repair an item and even showed me how best to go about it. They came up with a solution that was way more cost effective than i had anticipated. Will definitely shop here again.
