Simply.amazing. Very good staff, service, wine and spot. Tasting the best of the area, friendly people and lots of dogs to pet. Look at the photo! Glass licking good!

The new look Giant Steps cellar door is sleeker, cosier and gorgeous. Well worth a stop if you are in town and a fan of great Yarra Valley Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and my personal new favourite their Rose which has this seductive fragrance that invites you to keep coming back for another sip.

Two different offerings are available with more casual tastings happening downstairs which can start from $15 to $25 depending on which range you taste.

Upstairs can be booked for more indulgent private tastings. The courtyard upstairs is stunning, with plans for woodfire pizzas, wines by the glass.

Parking can be found very easily at the Coles or down a side-street nearby. Right across from Coles on the main St of Healesville cannot be missed.

We walked into this wine tasting room just above the main street in Healesville on Thursday morning and were luck enough to be able to get a place. The building and the outside area are very pleasant. The wine tasting was conducted by Sophie who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff were busy and working hard, and very helpful. A great experience, and don't forget to taste the vermouth.

Loads of knowledge and loads of classic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir choices. If you like the sharper more acidic wines. Absolutely lovely staff too - without exception.

Had a brilliant experience at the cellar door over the weekend with an oenophile friend of mine. Plan was to have a quick tasting but ended up there for a few hours.

Our Sommelier was outstanding and a delight to chat to. She was extremely knowledgeable, not just about Giant Steps wines but also about the Yarra Valley area and the whole Aussie wine scene. It was an extremely educational and fun session.

My friend and myself ended up ordering a box of Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs and a few Pinot Noir Roses which actually is a quiet beautiful wine to enjoy in Summer.

Extremely hard to fault any of Giant Steps wines and to my mind, they have some of the best Pinot Noirs in OZ and their Chardonnays are top quality drops which have the potential to develop into some absolute crackers.

Keep up the great work Giant Steps and thanks again to our Sommelier for such a great session. It was a great way to kick off the warm season after the lock downs!

We came here with a group to do the cellar door wine tasting and it was awesome! Would definitely recommend as an experience to anyone visiting Healesville. Anna was so friendly and helpful, we learned a lot and it was great to see her passion about the wines (which were all delicious).

Great single vineyard Pinot.

(I had previously written a complaint about the marketing company, hence the reply. I appreciate the manager taking this phone call and restoring my faith in Giant Steps.)

If you enjoy the delicate flavours of Pino Noir then you will enjoy your time at Giant Steps. There range of Pino's are very expensive and made with great care.

This was my partners first ever wine tasting! This pop up cellar door is above a cafe and bakery on the Main Street in town. A luscious green outdoor space and a cosy indoor tasting area. We tasted a selection of their regional wines, roughly around 6. Our sommelier was amazing, especially knowledgeable and was more than happy to educate us and tell us a bunch of fun facts. The founder Phil Sexton also founded @matildabaybrewery next door as well as the famous @littlecreaturesbrewing We just walked in, no bookings were necessary. The cost was $10pp redeemable on a bottle of wine, which of course whenever we enjoy a tasting we purchase. It was hard to pick a favourite here but we left with a bottle of their Syrah!

Went for the single vineyard wine tasting and left with 2 cases.
The woman who did the tasting was knowledgeable yet unpretentious and made the overall experience more than enjoyable and somewhere I'll be visiting again regularly. Thank you thank you! The perfect start to 2021.

Brilliant! Cellar door host, Rob, is passionate and knowledgeable about the wines, and gave us a really impressive cellar door experience. The wines are excellent - a wonderful example of the Yarra Valley done well.

What a remarkable experience. 18 tastings+! Rob was so knowledgeable and although they were closing for the day, he opened the doors and welcomed us with open arms. Thank you team #Giantsteps - order form on its way.

Giant Steps is changing and coming back as Matilda Bay Brewing company. Looks like some interesting changes are in making for the facade at any rate.

Had a great time with great wines at the pop up store as the main cellar door is being renovated.
Rob did a more than amazing job at the wine tasting. Clearly a guy with love and passion for his job. Definitely worth your while if you're in the area.
