Geonbae Hastings

Geonbae continues to be one of my favourite KBBQ places in Victoria - both the fried chicken and the bbq meats are top quality and cooked to perfection, with a good variety of side dishes and Korean drinks and dessert.

Service was quick.place was almost full.make sure you make a booking for Sat night especially. Korean fried chicken was good. $3per wing.is for 2 pieces of the wing.so take care when ordering. They were yumm we just kept eating.beer on tap cold and good.enjoy.

Friendly and helpful staff, Fantastic food, Great atmosphere.

I ordered Spicy Squid and Pork with Ssam (some vegetables like lettuce) just like I used to eat in Korea. Well-marinated grilled meat and steamed rice with fresh lettuce, it was truly amazing.

Fried Chicken was juicy and soft inside, and also crispy outside. I just couldn't stop eating, even though I'm usually not a big fan of deep-fried stuff.

Plus, try the Soju-cocktail! It tastes brilliant and also it's really grammable.

If you like Korean BBQ then you won't be disappointed coming here. A great place to eat at with friends and family. The prices are a little bit expensive, but still worth going.

It's a very nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining options, clean environment and the service was good.

The food was mostly good, just the spicy chicken we ordered was a little bit over cooked, but was still ok! The beef bulgogi was very yummy.
The soju cocktails are also very nice.

After a flyer drop in the letter box we got take away delivered. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely have again!

Fantastic fried chicken with tasty sauces, the honey mustard is the best! Have had it twice and both times has been great. Did not enjoy the fried rice was very basic rice with not much taste and desserts are average but will order the chicken again and try some more dishes.
Delivery was really fast, could not believe when delivery arrived. Definitely worth a try and the re-heats so well the next day you will think it was made that day and the chicken is really nice not like KFC.

Great variety of Korean food, service is excellent & the view of the water, when seated on the decking, adds to the experience.

Had our first lockdown meal tonight. Food was delivered within 30 minutes, really tasty fresh food. Definately ordering again!

Brilliant new restaurant in Hastings. If you haven't tried it yet you are seriously missing out.

Such lovely staff, amazing food and in a beautiful location. Restaurant was so nice, such a lovely experience and everything was done so well. Will be back.

Be warned serving sizes are quite large

Amazing location, the outside area would be perfect on a nice afternoon. Food was delicious, Very filling and quick to come to the table! Service was fast and all staff were very friendly! Food prices are average with many options for something cheaper or more expensive. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Manager loved our mix of peach and grape sujo! Awesome service by Lilly, would come back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!

The food and service was wonderful. Had a ball here for my birthday with the family. It has the novelty factor with dinner cooked at the table, willy winner esque exhaust pipes and a 3 litre beer tower available for purchase for your table. There were unfortunately several occasions where drink orders were completely forgotten but I believe this may be due to staff shortages as everything else seemed to flow smoothly. We will absolutely be back and recommend it for a night out.

Took the family here tonight. We absolutely loved it. The staff are great and good is delicious and great value. We had only tried the take away menu weigh also is good. Dining in is next level. Thanks guys. Can't wait to come back.

It's so great to have Geonbae in Hastings now and I will definitely be coming back again.
The staff are super friendly, always helping if you are confused to what something is, one of them was nice to ask the chef what the cookies were made of that came with my dessert.
They have a good selection of Korean drinks to try from sodas to alcohol.
If you can't decide what to have, they have to set menu's that you can try with a range of various Korean cuisine.
The food was so yummy and fresh plus healthy aside from the fried chicken which is delicious.
They also have really interesting sides as well.
They meals are reasonably big since they are designed to share so careful what you order.
You can take it home if you can't fit it in.
They have take home menu's and they deliver just know that you can only get one side from that menu.
The dessert was super yummy as well.
Highly recommended for first timers, visitors in Hastings and Korean Cuisine lovers.
It was expensive coming to around $116 dollars something but we spilt the bill and what you get, it's definitely worth the price.
