Gelato Messina Fitzroy

Best ice cream and gelato in Australia. We have probably bought 10 of their ice cream cakes now - they are truly amazing. And I think really good value.
My son and I shared a Chocolate Fondant scoop of ice cream with mint chip. Both were awesome. The store has a video on how they make their products that makes you go wow, and you understand why their gelato is the best.

Just great. It's fun trying the new flavors plus the reliable favourites. A bit pricy, but it is a luxury item experience of high quality so in my opinion worth it as an occasional treat.

Probably the worst service I have ever experienced, rude and just couldn’t be bothered. I will never ever step foot in that place again.disgraceful!

Often a queue so it really is an interesting ice cream location! The staff is warm and friendly. Quick service. Great variety of flavours and weekly selections. Receives cash and card. Very limited seating area for customers. Right adjacent to tram and not too far from a parking block around the corner. Been twice to the store and very satisfied, would recommend!

Some of the best gelato in Australia. It's neck and neck with Piccolina, but the location in Richmond is just brilliant when staying close by in South Yarra.

I had ‘lost in Japan’ and ‘coffee’ gelato. The new menu recommended by the friendly staff, lost in Japan, looked so good with neat wagons, sweet strawberries, and white chocolate. Ice cream you must eat when you come to Fitzroy!

We enjoyed a fantastic tasting experience at Gelato Messina Fitzroy and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in doing so. As well as learning about the history of gelato, how it’s made and manufactured you get to experience some of their cakes, make your own gelato and try many of the flavours on offer at the store.

Love it. New setup makes it harder to see gelati. There seems to be a line system post covid which makes it easier to get served

So many flavours to try before you buy. There's a valid reason why this place has queues out the door on a Friday night.

This place is so good people complain the store is closing when it's midnight and 15°c. Went there recently and I cannot express how good the Super Dulce de Leche is. It makes me hate cheesecake XD. Amazing food and friendly staff. 5 stars.

The ice-cream is absolutely delicious with lots of flavours and combinations from which to choose, the prices reasonable, and the staff are wonderfully friendly, greeting you with a smile and are very patient, providing a relaxed atmosphere!

5 stars just for dulce de leche and super dulce de leche icecream I tried other flavors and they are also amazing

Way too addicted to this place. I'm almost happy it's a little on the expensive side, otherwise I'd end up here way more often than I should

Waited a long time to have this in Melbourne and it did not disappoint. Great as always. Best ice cream flavours ever. Pistachio praline is like my kryptonite now.

I love Gelato Messina! I love their Dr Evil mushroom cake, and I also love their normal ice cream. I esp love their ice cream on the specials board. I got their brownie in milk chocolate ice cream, their Sicilian orange trifle which was amazing, the dulce de Leche and their cheesecake ice cream with cheesecake bits inside it. Yum yum! The service is quite good as well and you can taste test everything.
