Gami Chicken & Beer reviews
57Came in today around 9PM. Staff is so accomodating despite the busy time. Food was amazing. Friendly staff. Very happy with the food and service! Big props to the team tonight.
The food was delicious and everything was on point. As a happy customer, I highly recommend trying their Korean fried chicken. It's finger-licking good!
Affordable prices in a prime spot. Varied options, decent flavors, and a welcoming, kid-friendly atmosphere with friendly staff.
Came here a year ago and had a great experience so was back in Chadstone this weekend. Went back as the line wasn't as long, ordered to sample plate of fried chicken and a jug of the house beer. Beer was sour and all the chicken had a strange smokey burnt flavour to it.
Definitely not as enjoyable as my last visit unfortunately
Had a nice lunch meal here as much I enjoyed the chicken I had the best service as well.definitely always the best fried chicken
Normally I am a huge fan of Gami but this time around we were very disappointed in the quality of their dishes at the Chadstone store, especially their dumplings and potato heaven. The dumplings were dry and didn't really have much taste to them like they normally do (usually we go to Southland Gami and the dishes there are always perfect) and the potato heaven had cold wedges on the top and the mash potato was warm, with not much sweet chilli sauce and more tomato sauce.
Hoping Chadstone can turn this around, for now I'm sticking to the Southland Gami as the food is much better quality there.
I have been to Gami for so many years. I used to love their full boneless chicken on a large plate which was good enough for 2 ppl maybe 3. After my recent visit to Chadstone, they seem to have changed their model. Now, a large chicken comes in a small basket and they do not do half and half glazed flavours anymore! This was the main reason they stood out from other Korean places. Maybe charge more and bring back the old menu? Not returning until then. Disappointed Gami fan!
For Muslims, this is good halal chicken
meal option. The chicken is crispy and tender with unique flavour. There are many side dishes that deliciously complement the main meal. I would come here with my family to eat again.
Overall was very pleasant experience!
Went there during my peak lunch time, staff was very friendly and helpful when choosing the menu
Food was yummy, FOH staff was lovely, atmosphere was nice, recommend the k donut and gochu mayo chicken
Would 100% come back with my family next time:)
Awesome place serving up Korean dishes, mostly fried chicken! Ordered their Bulgogi as well which tasted awesome. Gami Wings will set you back about $17, the Beef Bulgogi is a similar price but the portions are big which is cool. I was so excited to start eating that I forgot to take a proper picture haha. Staff were super friendly and awesome too, gotta return soon.
The chicken was scrumptious. I recommend the spicy chilli sauce. This restaurant is a must try when you come to Chadstone!
TOO SLOW - wouldn’t recommend to eat here. We ordered 10 pcs fried chicken and the restaurant wasn’t even full but it took almost 30mins to arrive
The other Monday, I went in Gami for a seafood pancake and kdonut. While gami have been nothing but delicious chicken, I have had a bit of disappointment. The food first came out looking delicious as always however a particular experience changed my view in Gami. THE HYGIENE messed up my outlook on gami. I have not only witnessed. A particular front end worker has a very strong odor. It made my kdonut from sweet and savor into in a salty and sour taste! I don’t think I will be enjoying gami again.
I went to chadstone today since I was craving Gami boneless chicken however I am quiet disappointed by their "large portion" boneless chicken. It used to come on a long chopping board with quiet a decent amount of chickens with 2 sauces, but now it comes in a small basket with 1 sauce. I really thought they were bringing half for now and another half later with another sauce on top. I honestly thought they gave us the "regular" size lol and I had to asked the waitress and she confirmed that it was the "large" we ordered. I am quiet embarassed for the restaurant to advertise and serve "large" bonless chicken like this. I really wanted to ask what "regular" size would look like. Maybe it contained 2-3 bonless chicken? Honestly that did not worth $30.
P. S: I did not mind spending $40 on a large portion but to advertise that amount as "large", I am speechless lol.
For the price it's really not much. They've recently moved to ask for you to pay for side dishes. Disappointed. Food is alright nothing special compared to other Korean chicken (best I've had is Yoon's Kitchen by far)
Keep in mind they serve chicken (cheap meat) that's fried using the same oil (cheap costs), there's really no excuse for it.
Service was great though.
Friendly service, great food. We ordered Gochu Mayo Chicken for dine in with seafood pancake, prawn mandu and veggies capjai.
The food is served fast and super hot! It’s so delicious! Would definitely recommend coming here
I just went there last week and everything just fantastic. The food especially prawn mandu is the best. One of the best fried chicken restaurant I've ever been to. The service is incredible. I was served by Yugi (sorry if I'm wrong) Everything was done promptly, professional, very friendly. She's great! Definitely coming back. I'm a very satisfied customer.
Amazing food, potato heaven is a must try (every time I come melb I have to have this!) the staff are also super friendly
This place is yummy. Although we do only go for the one thing each time lol. The chicken corndue is a MUST-TRY! I personally recommend it’s best for 3 people to share if you want to finish it.
Comes with 16 chicken wings, both delicious in the two standard flavours that they come in. And don’t forget the generous pot of cheesy dipping goodness in the middle. It does say it’s a corn-cheese mixture but you’ll find a maximum of 5 kernels in the whole thing so it’s 99.9% cheese (which I’m not mad about!)
Comes with a side salad, two sauces of your choice and some pickled onions.
I think it’s $42 from memory. Sounds like quite a bit but you have to factor in that it also pays for the experience. This is because a server has to prepare everything, including lighting the little bbq it sits on, and then spooning out the fondue for you for quite a nice little show before you eat. I’m sure it would be cheaper if it didn’t require the manual labour of one of their staff coming out and doing all that - but that’s fine by me! (:
I highly recommend for any fried chicken lover
