First time online order, all arrived as ordered and great condition. The extra plastic outer shell cases was a great addition to keep the goods intact! Will be ordering again

Great venue, friendly staff and a terrific range of ccgs, board and card games, and an excellent d&d and miniatures range. Good air quality too! Natural ventilation means youre still getting fresh air in, even when it's packed.

Don’t really do reviews, but pretty sad with the service provided today for picking up an order I was grabbing for a friend that I placed on my account. Ended up purchasing few more cards once there given the commute to get there. I was told first if grabbing less than 3 cards that he can grab them for me but he seemed pretty unhappy about that and so I said I’ll order it online via my phone if that helps. So i did order online and then i was given the 4 additional cards without any sleeves and then told to order online and do it in advance next time. While what was said is not an issue the delivery of saying it more friendly would be much appreciated.

Attended an MCP tournament hosted here. A good venue with decent space for about 30-40 people. Air-conditioning is a big plus. Has a shop too for several popular game systems, as well as a drinks.

Very clean and well stocked store. Owner is very friendly and the store is well run. Not always the friendliest staff but on the whole recommended.

Staff are really friendly, helpful and know what they are talking about. Decent range of min D&D figures and a good selection of paints. Also a really good selection of cards.

Much more than just a standard LGS.

GamesPortal is more than just a card store, it's a place where you will be a part of the furniture with a couple of visits.

Getting into Magic: The Gathering, I had hunted around for a suitable LGS to play commander and meet people. From Box Hill to Dandenong, I've been to every local LGS. But all didn't have the personal touch that Ethan, Tom and Andy provide.

Andy had even taken the time to offer guidance on a product that had been tampered with that wasn't even purchased at his store.

From buying singles to hosting game nights, you will feel like you've been a regular at the store for years and the staff will assist you as best as they can.

Now we need to talk about managing your expectations. 90% of the games stocked are complex games that have been running for decades. You CANNOT expect a staff member to teach you how to play a game of commander or the basics of 40k.

You need to roll for initiative and look up the 100s of videos on YouTube that will walk you through the step-by-step guide on how to play. Games like MTG, 40k and yu-gi-oh require research, trial-and-error, commitment and a little bit of luck;).

The expectations of a store is to know their products to make a suggestion and assist you with your purchases, that's how a business works.

The people I have met, some who are now I consider as friends have also being accommodating. I haven't felt left out or singled out once. Some have even taken the time to study my decks and make great suggestions which have turned my decks into formidable powerhouses.

With all this said, I won't be going anywhere else. If I move in the future, I'll be more than happy to travel the distance.

Every time I go here, I feel unwelcome. The staff were unmotivated and failed to teach me how to play a game I was interested in.

There was no disabled access when I went here. It may have changed since then, but I am not willing to find out.

Very friendly staff, as someone who has no idea about cards, the staff helped me to pick some great presents for my friends who are big Pokemon fans! Will be definitely coming back again to buy presents for my friends!
