Galleon Cafe reviews
59Fab local cafe that has a relaxed vibe, lovely staff and great coffee. What more could you want? !
This place is great. The atmosphere and food and staff are all amazing. So friendly and helpful with a smile on their faces that goes a long way. Loved the Smokey bacon Bloody Mary. Thank you
Staff are lovely and the quality of the food is amazing, it was busy when we arrived but they made room for us and the food came out so quick. Definitely recommend to anyone nearby.
We walked through the rain to get here and it was worth it. The coffees came so fast and were absolute perfection. The sweet potato hash was uniquely presented and flavoured with hunks of creamy feta throughout. My boyfriend wanted to steal my food! We even picked up an almond croissant to take home in hopes it's even half as delicious as our breakfast was.
The staff were fantastic, friendly and efficient and the space has interesting art at every angle. Incredible price point and we plan to come back tomorrow. Or for PM drinks
One of the best breakfasts I have ever had in Australia. Very tasty, lovely hippie vibe. Recommended
Yummy breaky and coffee. Good selection of food. Warm & homely atmosphere. A firm favourite of mine in St Kilda. Great spot to meet a friend & chat.
One of the best cafes in the St Kilda area. The food is always great and the staff are always friendly. Added bonus, you can bring your dogs out the front. Would recommend to all visitors to the area.
The fact that there is often a queue to get in is a testament to the seriously good food and vibes here! A St Kilda institution that offers a family friendly ecclectic ambiance, and clientelle, with plenty of dietary, ethical, vego & vegan options, the Gelleon has something for everyone, even the pickiest easter at our table had a great meal. Give it a go, be ready for a queue, that doesn't take too long to move through, and don't forget to enjoy a great coffee ;)
A St Kilda institution.slip back to the 70s or so it feels like. Acland St may have lost its character but not this place.
Severe diaohrea within 30 minutes of eating there, only thing I are that day. Open kitchen right next to toilet maybe the reason. Wouldn't eat there again. Disappointed for over priced meal.
Nice cafè, coffee is okay, breakfast is ok too, except of a lot of butter on bread, don't like the open kitchen close to the toilets, looks like not in order and even dirty.
Overpriced, they charge an extra 10% for eating on a holiday. There were ants crawling all over our wall and table, and we got a lot of attitude from the staff after they came back 2 different times because they couldn't make our french toast.
I was keeping company to my friend Who was eating a lovely breakfast here at Galleon Cafè. She gave me her coffee which was really good and also offered me to try the sausage. Omg, it was so delicious! With fennel seeds inside, nice flavour! I will be back soon!
The rudest cafe ever, food average, noisy overcrowded, arrive and be told 'wait outside' (don't you know how to say hello) - who would hire that front (skinny) man with the accent, seriously. If you want to be treated like rubbish and eat a plate of average food in noisy hectic surrounds this is your place. If not there are plenty of way more courteous enjoyable places around.
This place is an institution, you have to visit. Lovely vibes and people, good coffee, good food, highly recommend.
No frills cute cafe with real portions and delicious food. The antithesis of this wave of Melbourne brunch places that charge obscene amounts for tiny morsels of wanky food - this place is amazing, give it a go.
Old school in every way. Hasn't changed in years! And, why would you change something so fabulous, anyway? Solid cafe!
Galleon never disappoints. Beautiful food and good service. Didn’t have a coffee but had a very good Prana chai with soy milk. One of the local spots in St Kilda that are packed everyday
