G Gay & Co Mitre 10 reviews
43A relatively small store but does have quite a good range of products & comparable to Bunnings in price. I'm not sure if we got the assistant on a bad day but a smile & a little interst in being there would go a very long way to making people want to come back again. I don't want to & will only go if I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere now
Got what I needed, and done stuff I needed but forgot about. Staff helpful, friendly.
Reattend today and still just as good as ever.
Staff still super helpful. Good range of great fit what I needed.
I was after Pressure sprayer and checked out Bunnings, as usual plenty of nothing. I walked into mitre10 Sebastopol and not only did they have the Hills 8 litre one I wanted, a but there were so many other tank capacities to choose from.one satisfied customer.
Found a lawn edger in a well known competitors store. Mitre 10 did not stock but they were able to order it in for me. And at a lower price. Mighty helpful and good prices. And i found other items that were simply out of stock at the same well known competitor. And Mitre10 price was so much better. 1st choice.
Make sure you double check they have the stock if you do the click and collect I did but still had to wait 11 days.
Brilliant service. Young lady on door doing Covid checks was fantastic doing a difficult job and other store staff could not have been more helpful.
Normally, I would give a good rating, except today one of the staff members decided to tell the girl serving us, about a matter that was irrelevant to us and so she was concentrating on him and ignoring us. This discussion could have been had later and not whilst serving customers. So much for customer service.
Good range but be careful buying larger items. Make sure you keep receipts as I bought a brushcutter that work for 1 1/2 tanks of fuel and died. Took it back as i couldnt find the receipt and got told they had never sold any.
I have shopped at sebas store for many years, buying a number of items, and always found the staff helpful. After going there today to buy paint, i will never buy paint from there again, the man that served me was an absolute rude pig, i nearly told him to shove his paint where the sun dont shine. He was so rude the way he spoke to me. How dare you
Great customer experience by lovely staff who has a golden mind service. I went to buy some mulch for my garden. But I picked the wrong kind of mulch. Staff dealt with the refund and silly customer like me really well.
Very helpful staff, good range, and often things not always available elsewhere. Always worth a visit.
Purchased a pack of 10 x Unifree masks, cost $7.50, advertised online for $4. These masks are inferior - to small, nose wire won't allow mask to seal and the non elastic (fixed) ear straps prevents flexibility/size adjustment. I doubt these masks would meet the Australian Standards as they do not provide for a level of protection required in this current health crisis.
A great hardware store with big well stocked range and knowledgeable friendly staff. Its not Bunnings but in most cases it has what you want for a reasonable price. Don't drive across town for the extra range you don't neeed.
Extremely helpful and patient crew in the yard, couldn't wish for more in that department. As a bit of polite feedback, it would be nice if the chaps at the counter, where we pay for the timber, could develop some personality and be somewhat pleasant.
Fantastic 10/10 for service and gave me trade price better than bunnings, and were only too egar too help me load my trailer, Ill be retuning too mitre 10, have won me over.recommended too all.thanks guys
The new nursery is fab, and I bought some lovely plants. It would have been nice to have been helped out with my potting mix tho.
Paint Section - Bad advice and bad product. Took a piece of timber in to get a stain/varnish to match, was given a clear varnish and told that was what was required. After initial coat, got severe spots all over, had to sand back and start again, requiring more product went back to purchased more, after reading tin and doing calculations of my own also needed to purchase more than was originally sold. They didn't have the stock to purchase 2 4lt tins only had the one and was told would be approximately a week and a half until new stock arrived this was due to this product not being very popular and low turn over. After getting recommended coating completed, did not match (no where near it). Went elsewhere and was given a stain and varnish and after having to sand back completely and start again, have got the desired result. An consulting industry professional, was told white spots were caused by old stock and separation between the hardener and varnish. Felt like was used to move old stock and got poor advice. Wasted $450 and loads of time.
Customer service is sometimes poor, especially the paint section. Range is limited for certain items. Try to support someone other than Bunnings, but they make it difficult.
Great parking spaces, friendly and helpful staff and always the only store I have found that has most items in stock.
I always find friendly faces and lots if smiles when I am in this store. The staff are helpful and know their products well.
