My fiance and I had our engagement party in the Riverview Room and it was absolutely beautiful. Great food, great service and such a great space. Thank you for everything! We had the best day!

We hosted our surprise wedding upstairs in the Riverview Room last weekend, and were impressed with every part of the booking process and how the night was run overall. The room has been renovated beautifully, and the huge deck area was heated well. The wait staff and bar staff were so friendly, happy, and helpful, and ensured every part of the evening ran like clockwork. Our guests have commented on how impressed they were also. The food was also absolutely delicious! Thank you for such a fabulous wedding venue.

We had my hubby 60th in the Riverview room week ago the venue is spacious and comfortable but the finger food was not to our expectations it was tasteless, salty to top it off they did not cater for the amount of guest we had paid for we order kids meals and requested to come out on quite few request with the venue, but unfortunately they where out 2 and half hours later disappointing, communication with the venue was very hard to get replies with emails and phone calls.
Lucky I have given 1star otherwise there would be even one.
I do not recommend this for the food side of it but we loved the function area.

My husband and I recently hosted a men’s networking charity event on the Riverview room at The Grand. The whole process was made so easy thanks to the amazing events staff. From start to finish they were so easy to deal with and communication was regular.
The venue and the food get a big thumbs up from us. We wouldn’t hesitate to organise another event here. We highly recommend this venue. Thank you to everyone at The Grand.

The Riverview room was an absolute treat to share our 50th with our family and friends. Food was beautiful and bar staff so friendly. The outside heaters kept everyone that didn’t dance nice and toastie.

I hosted my husbands 30th birthday and my sons 1st birthday in the Riverview room. We had such great feedback from all our guests about how great the space and food was. Would definitely recommend. We were worried we wouldn’t have enough food. We went for package 1 option which is the 8 pieces and added an additional canapé. So much food got sent back to the kitchen and package 1 alone would have been sufficient. The food was amazing. Staff also great to work with. Thank you!

We held our engagement party turned surprise wedding in the Riverview room at The Grand. We can’t recommend the venue highly enough! They were great to deal with and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly on the night. The room is stunning and we couldn’t have been happier we chose this venue for our special night!

I can highly recommend the functions team at The Grand, ably headed by the efficient and capable Danielle. We chose to have a party for 55 in the Next Door function room. The venue was cosy, tastefully presented with enough stools and bar tables for those who wanted to gather, along with banquettes lining the walls for those wanting a quieter chat. The facility has its own restrooms.no need to share with patrons from other functions.a kitchen for food preparation and a fully stocked bar with coffee machine. We chose a savoury grazing table to begin with followed by delicious and beautifully presented finger food. A common theme with our guests' comments as they left was how delicious the food was and what friendly, accommodating staff we had looking after us. Ash, Nika, Charlotte, Jackson and Sol truly helped to make the evening special. Nothing was too much trouble for the whole team.

We hosted our engagement in the Riverview Room at The Grand and had the best experience! Venue space was awesome, food was delicious and plenty of it, and staff on the bar were quick and helpful! Would highly recommend and would definitely use the space again!

The Riverview Room at The Grand Hotel was a wonderful place to celebrate our wedding with friends and family. Nicole was easy to deal with and a great host, the food was amazing and everyone had a great time.
