Freddy's Bike Tours & Rentals reviews
85I did the e-bike tour with tour guide Matt today and it’s highly recommended! The bike tour took us about 4 hours including lunch break, riding bike bit south side of Melbourne around botanical garden and stadium through up to north side around CBD along spring street and Fitzroy.we stopped at about 5 spots and each time we learnt about some history and stories, very informative! Bike condition was good, staff were friendly! Thank you
I highly recommend it! The bike tour is one of the best ways to get to know Melbourne in 4 hours. All the blue tongue team are very helpful and smiling and throughout the tour I felt 100% safe. The bikes were in excellent condition. Thank you so much for everything!
The owner/employee with the cool tattoos was really friendly and helpful. I broke the derailleur hangar and got off Scott free with no penalty charges. Thanks for the great service
My kids and I had an amazing ride along the Yarra on the E cargo bike. Such a smooth, fun and easy ride. Will definately be back for another riding adventure with Blue Tongue Bikes!
Absolutely amazing. Fabulous, friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff.
The best time biking out to St Kilda.
Bikes were brilliant- really comfortable and easy to manage.
Great way to spend a few hours while in Melbourne.
Totally recommend.
Had a great experience here. I am in town for a few days and I needed a road bike as a rental. They had great options and they were super easy to work with. First class!
We had a nice experience with this bike rent service. The guy was friendly and explained me everything regarding e-bike riding, the itinerary was picturesque and well thought. We liked this bike ride!
Loved this bike rental! Great bikes, well maintained with no problems, friendly service and had everything we needed, with good prices. Had a lovely time!
Had an awesome experience with Blue Tongue Bikes. We did a 3 day bike packing trip from Winchelsea-Forrest-Aireys Inlet-Geelong and the bikes held up great. Bike packs and helmets were included in the rental as well. We made our booking online in advance and communicated through Facebook messenger for any questions. They answered almost immediately. Would definitely recommend!
Good quality bikes, excellent service, open 7 days a week
They also provide a number of route for the local areas. My favourite was the coastal ride towards Brighton (and beyond)
Loved my experience here, ordered 2 bikes for 2 hours for $50, the dude was super nice and had a great ride.
Just finished our bike ride today. The guy who was on duty was really friendly. Bikes were in good condition, and the rates were affordable. Kudos!
Excellent. The best time exploring Melbourne with my parents on their visit from the Czech Republic.
Did a tour today with Freddy & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Good quality, well maintained bikes. Freddy was fun & informative. Enjoyed the scenery, much of it not on roads. Had an hour lunch stop at a great value local bar/restaurant. Met a nice bunch of people also in the group. Would recommend this tour.
Fun four hours with an excellent guide, Freddie. We’re from Melbourne (Peninsula) but the trail we took and the insights into the places we visited were really good. The Lekker bikes were comfy and easy to operate and the lunch venue was terrific. Great day out.
Freddy is a fantastic guide and the e bike performed as one would expect making the ride a breeze. Great commentary along the route with an enjoyable stop on Brunswick Street for lunch and a beer. All in all an awesome cruise around Melbourne city. 5 stars
We had a wonderful time touring Melbourne by bike. Our guide Freddy provided excellent information about the founding of the city and its history. The tour allowed us to visit neighbourhoods of Melbourne we would most probably not have visited by ourselves.
Five star streamlined service from James for 2 EBikes for 2 mature aged females. Loved the ride beside the Yarra to the Abbotsford Convent & return. Bikes were great, scenery lovely & trail easy.
Highly recommend Blue Tongue for Melbourne cycling.
We did a 4h bike tour with plenty of things to see around Melbourne. Matt was our tour guide who shared a good piece of history with us, had to deal with the flat tire and still kept the decent mood. However, I feel like the pace of the tour is more suited for the older gen. In my opinion it could be easily crammed in 2.5h with no lunch (which took one hour). Perhaps I could have done more in my own time by just renting a bike, but on the other hand we did hear some interesting stuff I would not have discovered myself. It is on you to decide weather that is worth 80$. Given that I have already forgotten 50% of it (did the tour 2 days ago), and felt like I have wasted a lot of time, I would recommend renting a bike and saving 50$. Although it might have to do with the insurance, the value for money of the bike tour is definitely overestimated.
