FRATELLI Frankston reviews
64Still one of the best pasta places in the area, quick and tasty food at a reasonable price
The food was alright the food had good sizing but the presentation wasn't that good, the service was really bad, people were standing around talking and doing other things when we called for them. The atmosphere wasn't good, we were basically rushed out the door, and the staff weren't very nice.
Great service very warm yummy food the best cabanara Fettuccine my partner had calamari with salad had my usual Mocartou drink.had yum garlic cheese bread
The best Aussie pizza and wedges! I’ve had many pizzas from here and they are always consistent. Great pizza base and the carbonara is amazing. Great quality for takeaway.
Enjoy coming here with the family. Last visit we had the most friendliest waiter, shame I didn’t get his name, I did praise him to the owner.
Best pizza in Frankston hands down. Always plenty of toppings and beautiful thin dough with a crispy crust.
Don't do take away often but when I do it's fratelli. Worth the calories
Their pizzas are absolutely delicious and the staff are warm and friendly. The manager owner not so much. Have had an issue now and again and he doesn't really want to accept responsibility in any way.
But the pizza is bloody good, and the staff are lovely, so I return.
The food was great, but the service was pretty average. I waited ages for my meal. It was only when the manager noticed I had been waiting ages that he came and asked what I had ordered. A small pizza and a main of calamari shouldn't take that long. People who ordered after me were half finished their meals before I got mine. The waitress didn't even have the courtesy to apologise when I asked if they had forgotten my meal. She gave some lame excuse about the chef wanting to serve both dishes together.
Always a delicious meal and Mick and the staff treat you like family. Try the Big Mick or the Seafood platter - you won't be disappointed OR hungry!
First time dinning at fratellis, food and service was amazing. Will definitely be going back. Also happen to meet the owner of the restaurant who was very polite and welcoming.
The service was atrocious the food bland and cold definitely in top 5 places not to dine in Frankston
Food was good and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and circulating staff made it easy to get refills etc.
I ordered via the website so don't blame menulog or uber or whatever. The pizza was ok but the pasta was tasteless mush. I was really looking forward to it but there was no texture or flavour. Fettuccine with pumpkin and chicken. No seasoning whatsoever. The garlic bread roll was the best bit.
I had really bad seafood pasta yesterday somewhere else.today we went to this place, it brought me back to life, I didn't even have chance take photos, just can't stop myself eating.the service here is amazing too, waiter bring us water again when we just empty the water bottle, best Italian food I haven't had for a long time, really made my holiday extra happy.
BTW the restaurant also beautiful warm set up, music not loud, just perfect, so relaxed.
Thanks
Quality at the restaurant seems to have gone down in the last few years. My family and I came in for dinner and found that the food was very much unseasoned and basically flavourless.
On the carbonara, it seems that all of the sauce pooled at the bottom of the plate - not that it matters much as the sauce tasted of little more than half a teaspoon of cream to a liter of water.
The risotto was similarly flavourless - rice tasting of unseasoned and steamed white rice.
While I can't comment on the taste of the pizza, the pizza we ordered as an entree came with no plates and poorly cut, so we cut it up ourselves and served it on serviettes.
The decor is also gaudy, consisting of fake candles, Italian posters and a large mural of a Roman soldier riding a unicorn to battle. The music choice is fine, albeit shallow as it loops often enough that you may hear the same song twice in a night.
We also had some issues with the cutlery, as the only knives they had were large steak knives - even for kids meals! We had to ask for extra items as we weren't given enough forks.
What's worst of all, is that the staff seem to care little for cleanliness, a server carrying an infant into the kitchen during our visit, despite the hot food being served and cooked inside.
Ultimately, the food is decidedly average, not at all worth the price at $18/$21 for the average pasta and only getting more expensive as you go. I'd advise going to any other Italian restaurant in Frankston or along Cranbourne Road.
I have had my last 2 work break up here and the staff are always polite, friendly and make sure we don't go thirsty!
I have been in many other times and have tried just about everything on the menu and the food is always good, well portioned and well presented.
If a large group are seated after you’ve ordered your starters, they will receive their starters first. Your chips with your mains will be cooked with their starters and come out stone cold and inedible. Seafood was also not cooked properly. We addressed this with one of the servers who apologised but nothing further happened. Servers were friendly but management need to do some serious work as I forecast a “Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares” scenario imploding at this establishment.
I love their pizzas but the customer service was terrible tonight. I placed an order over the phone at 6: 30 and they said it'll be ready at 7 and they messed up out order and it wasn't ready until 7: 30.
Not happy.
Food turned up over an hour late, stone cold - even when we reheated it it was disgusting food to eat - never again. Food ended up in the bin.
Don't offer a delivery service that delivers bad food - simple, ownership still lies with you.
Date night!
Wife and I went to Fratelli before catching a show.
We called to book and we're told not necessary, just turn up, will be fine.
We did get seated, but outside. Got the heaters times on, so all is well.
We waited 12 minutes for water or drinks or something, and ended up going inside to the bar, thinking we must have to order ourselves, but they were just busy.
Ordered drinks and food. (I ordered the bolognaise parma, and my wife ordered the Hawaiian Parma). Both came, mine was good, wife's was just a normal Parma, but no big deal.
The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and moist, served with beautiful cherry tomatoes and yummy chips.
As we paid, my wife mentioned that she didn't get the Hawaiian Parma just to make sure we paid for a normal one, and the guy was just a bit rude about it. We didn't make an issue of it, just didn't want to be charged the extra $3, but he was just not nice.
First bad service experience, but these things all add up.
