Four Seasons BBQ House reviews
62 Not bad. I think is skewed to Hong Kong and Malaysia Chinese style. You can t go too far wrong with those cuisine. Family run business as service as best they can.
Good roast pork, roast duck, lobster noodles. If you like veggies, order one of their house specials, sweet pea leaves aka dou mew.
Enjoy
Had our dinner here for the first time yesterday. Ordered roast duck, dried scallop fried rice and seafood tofu claypot. Super satisfied with the food, especially seeing the duck freshly roasted and served warm, crispy skin and succulent meat! Definitely our go to chinese restaurant in the area!
Update: This becomes our favourite HK roast place! Been here almost every week to try other dishes too. Everything is so good!
Terrible customer service.had like a $20 minimum limit to use a card and still was charging a % fee even if the minimum spend met
Do not buy the food in this place, I bought the BBQ plate for $38. I thought it will be enough for 2 people. However when I open the box, I can not believe what I’m seeing. The portions was very small, and in there are the neck of the duck. They taste really bad. $ 38 for some meat and the neck of the duck, would you pay for it? I working in the kitchen, my kitchen will never serve the neck of duck for customer, never and ever.
Whenever we went to this place, we always ordered its BBQ roast duck and roast pork. These items are its signature food which I consider one of the better in the Melbourne eastern suburbs. Other dishes are considered authentic Cantonese, mostly tasty and delicious. Its menu has a lot to offer, including some rice dishes which suit for lunch or individuals. The price is overall reasonable.
The only down side is the place is getting dated, after some years of business.
A party of 7 on a wet Friday evening - we had the set for 4 and added 2 extra dishes - the egg plant claypot and the salt & pepper chicken ribs. Food was well cooked and the serves generous. The scallops in particular were so aromatic and tasty.
Makes the best Fried Kway Teow but staff are very slow. The dish costs $4 more if you order via the app than over the counter. Makes no sense to me.
Food is okay if you pick pork or duck. Sausage was terrible and not recommend at all. Service could be improved.
We came to try this restaurant out knowing they were known for their BBQ/roast meats. But we weren’t craving this and went with some of the more commonly ordered chinese dishes - salt baked chicken, salted egg fried prawns, XO pippies and stir-fried chinese broccoli. We finished the meal full and absolutely satisfied. The flavours were spot on and portion size was abundant for its price point. If I had to nit-pick and find fault, the only point I could raise is the chinese donut in the XO pippies was a bit crispier and less absorbant of the delicious sauce. We will be back for sure!
Been here for lunch with family, food are good especially crispy eggplant with salted egg. But the service is not that good, they dont talk much and do not smile
Reasonable pricingabd very delicious authentic food. Roast duck very tasty. Strongly recommended.
Been here a few times now and it's definitely one of the best in the area. I've literally been to all the go to Chinese restaurants in Melbourne and really rate this place. I've had the lobster noodle banquet and just regular meals like the roast pork, BBQ pork, crispy seafood noodle, etc and it's all good. I wouldn't say it's better than box hill but if you're in Bayswater/Ringwood area, it's certainly comparable.
Here it is, located along Mountain Highway in Bayswater, few doors from CBA bank, 200m from train station! Best crispy pork around! Crispy skin, juicy and tasty pork… just right in saltines as well! Just perfect! The 1kg just vanished amongst 4 of us within two hours! The wasabi prawns are just delicious! I can never make the soft shell crab with salted eggs like they do! These 3 dishes score a perfect 10 for me! The set menus are reasonably priced too - all in accordance to your budget! They are a fighter and survivor through COVID too! Don’t forget I love their kon Lo duck noodles too; and …. Many many more as mentioned in previous reviews!
They might not have a white table cloth service, but the tastes and chef skills are consistent and real! Bayswater is fast becoming a solid venue with solid restaurants- this and Treasure Bowl serve full restaurant menus; Junious Tan serving hawker Malaysian food, we have Thai food, Vietnamese, Chinese Dumplings, pizzas, burgers, Indian, Burger with beer, … lots of choices!
The roast duck is delicious. Clean place with reasonable price. Encountered bad service with one of the waitress.
Honest post. This place "used" to be the best place for roast bbq but not anymore. We use to come here all the time. The flavours have change. Both roast duck and bbq pork were dry. Portions size was tiny! And most importantly the staff are rude and look like they couldnt care less maybe coz they have enough customers. Wont be going back ever even if you pay me. Do yourself a favour and save your money go somewhere else.
Went at night for their roast stuff and unfortunately they ran out! It was about 6pm so I was sad, but decided to try their other foods. Had their pork mandarin sauce which was really nice! Sauce was beautiful! Wish there are more of it! Tried their salted egg and preserved egg spinach because I never had something like that before. It was a very generous portion, but flavour wise, can’t taste much other than natural spinach flavour. When you have the broth (it is broth consistency) you can taste somewhat the salted egg flavour but not strong enough to taste when eating the spinach. I probably wouldnt order it again. Lastly, we had red bean pancake and asked for ice cream on the side. It was so yum! Perfect red bean pancake and ice cream was such a great combo. And when we paid it was pretty cheap dinner considering I took spinach home too. Will come back during lunch time for their roast pork!
I have never posted a review before this, but $19 for their average at best and ridiculously small portion sweet and sour Pork deserved a post.
This was our first time trying this store. Needless to say, won't be going back again.
Great place for chinese food. The roast duck and roasts are quite popular so we have not had a chance to try but I do love their salted duck tofu which can be requested. The crispy noodles are okay but the noodles are slightly undercooked.
Their roasts are really yummy. The moment you open the door you get delicious wafts of roast meat. Prices are reasonable. Service is good. Food came out pretty fast.
Terrible
Do not order from here
I placed and order online and paid for it only for them to text me and say my order was declined cause they didn’t have enough food
They told me I’d get a refund in 1-2 days
That didn’t help me when I needed money to eat that night
