Flying Brick Cider Co reviews
78 Was there with a large group, table service was excellent. The ox cheek looked delicious, the atmosphere was great,
the drinks were great, give the $25 special burger a huge miss, the pattie appeared to be freezer bought, was dry and was smaller than that of a mcdonalds cheeseburger.
Arrived, checked in, waited at the please wait ro be seated sign. Watched 6 people behind the bar talking. 2 people walked past and didn't acknowledge us. Terrible customer service.
Beautiful food. Fastastic service (unusual for much of the Bellarine). Great location. We loved it and will be back.
Called in on a week day for a quick bite. The menu had a great range and very reasonable prices. Shared the food as we couldn't decide, it all sounded yummm Had the Fried cauliflower (to die for!) and the Charcuterie platter was absolutely delicious.
The service was great from the time we entered till we left. Lovely people. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Its big, its trendy, beautiful and heaps of parking space. Very friendly staff to cater your appetite. Cider plater was lovely, especially the one with ginger and chilli. Did tried the platter with duck liver and chicken terrine. The venue is very family friendly and you should definitely consider if you plan to visit Geelong Adventure Park.
The scenery and live performance created a great experience here. The staff were very nice and helpful. The main dinner meal however was a bit of a letdown. Although still tasty, there were definite things that could've changed. Firstly, the steak was very small and I would've been willing to pay the extra amount for a bigger steak. Secondly, I don't understand the purpose before the wedge door stopper potato side they have. It lacked flavour and visually does not add any elegance. Overall, a great place with good dessert but some work required on their mains.
A nice view and beautiful lawns to sit on. Inside is very echoey and loud, hard to hear the conversation at your table
Our group had a lovely afternoon yesterday, we enjoyed a few tasting paddles, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Can recommend the fish Kiev, and some of the boys on the table chose the burger on the specials menu and they liked that. Nice live tunes in the corner from a solo guitarist. We finished off with a few drinks outside on the lawn.
Was looking forward to eating there.what a disappointment it was. When we sat down we were offered drinks, then ordered our food, which was delicious Thats all i have good to say.they did not come back to our table. We waited for at least 30 mins, after we had our mains so we paid the bill and spent the rest of the night at the Queenscliff Brewhouse.
Back again and FBCC doesn't disappoint. Shared the Reuben burger (special), Potato Latka & Chocolate Mouse Rocky Road, plus a Riesling & Pachinga cider, all awesome options.
* order the Latka with a sauce, like the killer sauce that comes with the chips good service, lovely staff, plenty of space. This place is pumping
Very popular and recommend booking if you want to sit inside. Perfect spot to catch up and enjoy some great drinks and food. More casual food truck options outside
Amazing place with great food and staff. Attended on a friday night, staff could see how cold we were and offered us the table by the fire as it was freezing cold outside which was a great start. We had the tasting platter to start amazing Patè, cheese, chutney and fresh meats.i ate the Beef Cheek with bubble and squeak and sprouts mixed with pancetta for mains. Totally worth the drive down the Ballerine. It was so juicy and full of flavour and fairly priced for the big portion. My friend had the Squid dish which looked amazing and she said was tasty and flavoursome. Great Yes said the seal wine and of course the delicious Cider, highly recommend Flying Brick will definitely be back.
Really loved this place! Very family freindly for those people traveling with kids, with a big lawn for kick to kick, or a run around.
Restaurant takes itself very seriously! The place was recommended to us, but 5 minutes perusing the menu in the foyer convinced us this was not family friendly. We left without taking a seat.
Went here for dinner and pleasantly surprised by all the amazing food (and of course the cider). Flying Brick Cider doesn't give off the pretentious, fine dining vibe but the food there is absolutely amazing. We had the char grilled prawns, beef cheek special, and portarlington mussels which easily rival some of the other high end restaurants in Geelong. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a casual lunch/dinner or even got something a bit special.
Really disappointing. 3 of us drove for an hour to take our 70yo. GF Dad out for cider and lunch. Waited 10mins for host to come and seat us. She came up to us twice while we stood waiting and told us she wouldn't be much longer while she delivered meals. Then came back at 10min and told us we couldn't be seated for an hour. Ok, we can see 5 free tables within the immediate space but ok.we asked about their sign that says sit anywhere you like outside on the grass or wait to be seated at an indoor table. So we asked to sit on the grass outside and said, "no, no you can't, I said an hour".
Really rude and disappointing from and small business. And a mean little lady when there were so many spaces available for an elderly man to sit.
Great family venue. Friendly staff, fast service, caters well for kids and great ciders for the big kids. We regularly take friends and family here for a relaxed long lunch.
Kind of pretentious and over priced. Good for hipsters. Lacked the basic food that kids eat and mine only ate the fries. Not really a fan and only go there when I am forced to family functions.
Very nice. Very busy which is good to see. Staff pleasant. Food different & interesting but quite costly.
Family function & will return again.
The best cider house I have been to. Lots of space excellent cider and friendly staff. Wheelchair friendly throughout with disability carparking at the door. A great place on a lovely day. Good for families, couples and groups.
