Florina's Greek Tavern

Nice greek atmosphere, delicious food and great service from friendly staff. We had the 3 course banquet and there was more than enough food for 2, which we couldn't finish.

One of the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to. And the service and staff are just so nice and polite. Definitely recommend everyone to come here once. I will definitely be coming here again.

Had takeaway from here (that we collected) and it was amazing. Very fresh, great taste and huge serving sizes (they even gave us an extra serving of one dish). Would definitely recommend and seems more authentic than other offerings nearby.

Went before lockdown number 5. What an absolutely TREAT. Had heard so many great things about Florina's ALL TRUE. Fabulous food, delightful staff. We had a selection of dips, seafood, lamb and chicken. Holy moly SERIOUSLY some of the best Greek food we have had. Do yourself a favour GO you will LOVE LOVE LOVE IT?

Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Been along time since I have had greek food and enjoyed it so much.

Saturday night dinner - decided on the 4 course set menu for 6 people. Starters came within 5mins of ordering giving us a false sense of good service. It took 2 hours to give us the second and third course. Super disappointing. Obviously not the wait staffs’ fault but the restaurant should really consider hiring more people (FOH & BOH) to keep up with the orders. Food was okay taste wise but not worth the wait.

THE LAMB WAS SO SOFT IT MELTED IN OUR MOUTHS AND THE PITA BREAD WAS SOFT AND FRESH. WHAT AN AMAZING MEAL, SO DELICIOUS, FRESH AND THE MEAT WAS SO TENDER AND JUICY. THANKYOU, WE'LL SEE YOU SOON.

The 4 course banquet was very filling unfortunately then it came to the meats chicken was dry but everything else was very yummy

I attended tonight with a big group celebrating a birthday but will never ever go here again. The food was absolutely disgusting, it was dry and the chicken was raw which left a few people throwing up, got charged for things that we didn't order and they made us pay for a 4 course meal each but had to share between the whole group. Staff were unfriendly and rude, they left the birthday cake on the side with a massive knife when we had little kids running around. We got put upstairs when we clearly mentioned that we had family who were unable to go up and down stairs, the floors were very slippery. Overall, a disgusting place and would never recommend this tavern for anyone. Stay away!

This place was amazing! The service 10/10, the meal 10/10 and price 9/10. It was a great dinner and I will be back again. We went for the four course set menu and it has a lot of food and was just amazing. Overall, the experience was fantastic and just lovely. The service was quick, with advice on food and I wasn't rushed at all. We were told that we could stay all night to finish all the good we received. Again, this is a place to visit and enjoy!

This tavern was fantastic. It has a gorgeous authentic Greek tavern atmosphere, as it should. You feel like you’re dining in a cute little restaurant on one of the Greek islands. The ambience is great. The setup is quite roomy and seats people comfortably instead of being packed in like other restaurants.
The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Every single thing was fresh and cooked to perfection. We ordered the $55.00 per head, 4-course set menu. There was so much food! The highlights for me were the first course of fresh breads, dips, saganaki, dolmades and whitebait fish, all of which were excellent. The second course was a beautiful seafood platter of prawns, fish and calamari paired with a crisp Greek (horiatiki) salad. The third course was a meat platter. The meats were delightfully crispy with charcoal on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, paired with a lovely tourlou (mix of potatoes, green beans, carrots and zucchini in a tomato-based sauce). Yum! And finally, for dessert we had lovely mini servings of baklava and galaktoboureko with Greek coffee. Everything was delicious. Florina’s is probably the best Greek tavern I’ve ever been to.

Chicken gyro was dry and burnt on the outside. Lamb was tasteless. (No basting whatsoever)
Service was terrible. Was busy but no atmosphere. A bit of Greek music played in background would go far! The only thing that tasted good to me was the roast capsicum that was dosed in garlic! Do yourself a favour and drive an extra 10 min to Oakliegh!

Four of us dined here yesterday for dinner can highly recommend the food from start to finish was delicious with large servings and very tasty.
We started with a selection of 3 dips with bread
which was yummy, followed by lamb and chicken Gyros with A bowl of Greek salad and 2 bowls of chips.
So filling we couldn't finish all so brought some home with us.
Definitely would come back again.

It was our first visit but our friends have been there before. Lovely calm and relaxed atmosphere. Sincere service and treated us well. Food was great. Entre very nice and chicken main meal was soft and juicy.
Desert was Devine. We will go back there

The Lamb was dry and overcooked, like chewing cardboard. The "grilled" fish of the day was clearly fried and also overcooked to the point where it was inedible.

Ordered via Uber eats. Food was amazing but the portion size of the grilled octopus was extremely small, for the cost of it, I was so disappointed.

Big servings - even the smaller banquet was way too much! Great service and staff. Food was good.

Not happy tonight. Saganaki over cooked. No flavour in dips, potato, meat and calamari. No table service throughout the night, so didnt order drinks. Never asked if we were ok or enjoying the food. Portions were very generous. Food quality below par for a Greek restaurant. Very disappointed. Atmosphere was ok. Not too loud or squashy.
