Shalayne picked up my call in regards to a refund for a travel credit from last year - an issue she inherited - she actioned it same day and sent me a confirmation email and was lovely and very honest re timelines

Francois (and previously Adrian) does an outstanding job helping us to book flights etc for our business travel. Flight Centre has a customer for life in me.

I bought tickets to Abu Dhabi for my family a month before the pandemic set in at the Victoria Gardens outlet.

Firstly, they offered me the coverall "cancel for any reason" insurance. I purchased it. That was the second best thing I did in this experience.

I was able to get 75% (excluding insurance fee) of my money back through the insurance. Flight Centre supported me all the way until I recieved my refund. I was happy with that knowing others had lost all their money.

Six months later, I recieve a call from Shalayne Little of Flight Centre. She said not only will I be refunded the other 25% of my money plus the money I bought the insurance.

This is why I am a Flight Centre life customer now:

1. The products they offered saved my precious travel money without me having to argue for a refund. How many others that had their trips cancelled due to the pandemic can say that?

2. The service I recieved was kind, attentive, caring and reassuring from the moment I stopped by their outlet to originally get help, as I was buying through one of their sites and was having an issue.

For reasons beyond my and Flight Centre's control, I couldn't buy tickets for young son because he was of an age - too young - to purchase online for. So I bought in store where I bought the right tickets, chose my seats and gained valuable advice with care and kindness.

3. Despite Flight Centre having trouble and outlets closing due to the pandemic (which the whole travel industry is facing and some companies closing completely leaving customers to fend for themselves), behind the scenes, Flight Centre had been still chasing full refunds from airlines for their customers. So when Shalayne called me to say I was recieving the rest of my money including the money I used for insurance, 6 month down the track after I was happy enough with 75% insurance payout, I was not only surprised, I was knocked off my feet. Flight Centre popped up well after I thought things were done and then exceeded my expectations once again.

Because I booked my family trip with Flight Centre, I lost none of my money due to the pandemic. How many people can say that?

Because I booked my trip with Flight Centre, I got the kindest people helping me, always there when I needed help, happy to assist, working behind the scenes, exceeding my expectations.

Booking my trip was the best thing I did in this experience.

So that's why I'm a Flight Centre customer for life.

Trying to get some correspondence from this office regarding my refund is difficult. The trip was booked in December 2019, cancelled in April 2020. I know I am not alone in trying to get a refund and I try to be empathetic, rational and respectful every time I call.

Every time I call up I have to explain my situation again which is unfortunate as I would hope there is information on my profile regarding my situation. A positive is most of the time I I get helpful assistance but it seems to be always be a repeating script of these things take time and can take up to a month for a refund. Which on the surface I can totally understand and respect.

I can understand a month would be an acceptable time frame however it is always seems to be it takes a month and that month never actually happens.

To have been on this merry go round of refund yet never received a phone call or email from this office is really disheartening. I am just asking for one call in 3 months or even an email or text msg.

In 2018, Natalie Coe went above & beyond to help me plan my 1month USA trip, reducing my travel plan stress and saving me a significant amount of time and money.
Because of her friendly nature, responsiveness and willingness to listen to my unrealistic wants and suggest alternate ideas that aline to my realistic budget and schedule, Natalie is now helping me plan a 2month 2020 Europe trip.
I would highly recommend her, especially for long term travel that requires careful planning.
