Flight Centre Eastland

Really disappointing the way they treat refunds during Covid… have been waiting for full refund of over 13k since 16th August!

Much like many others, COVID-19 threw a spanner in the works and our first family holiday that was many years in the making was suddenly put on hold indefinitely. Chloe, our initial travel agent, was a delight from first meeting. I felt right at ease with her knowledge, professional approach and enthusiasm. When the first rumours of travel restrictions started to surface, Chloe was on the ball and responsive to my concerns. When she was stood down as a COVID casualty, Kelly introduced herself and, armed with knowledge of our booking, put me at ease. Any query I have raised had a response within days. I have the utmost appreciation for the assistance and service I have received from Flight Centre Eastland, specifically Chloe and Kelly. Understandably, it has been a real tough time for the travel industry of late and there are a lot of frustrated people out there however, with thanks to the level of service I have received from Chloe and Kelly, I would like to make it very plain and clear that I do not include myself in that group. I appreciate the communication and follow-up and I have nothing but positives to take from my experience, all things considered.

Kelly was extremely knowledgeable and covered every possible angle which gave us confidence since it was my 18 year son that will be travelling alone to the US. I will definitely go back to flight centre next time and hopefully be able to go through Kelly again.

First, I went to Flight Centre because it was an overseas trip I did not want to get wrong (I didn't have a lot of overseas travel experience). I was happy to pay more using a travel agent as I figured I was paying for their knowledge and experience. The first issue occurred at the airport as I was trying to leave Australia and begin my long adventure. Checking in, I was told I couldn't check in with a ticket that didn't have a return flight date that fell within the 3 months that my visa was going to be valid for in USA. After calls and texts between me and my travel agent and almost missing check-in, my return dates were changed and I was allowed to check in. I was told "this time, we will cover the cost of changing dates on your ticket because it was our error" My second issue, I barely got to eat on the 16 hour flight as my travel agent hadn't passed on my dietary requirements to the airline and they had nothing for me but old fruit. Third issue, directly following advice from the same travel agent I was stopped, questioned and searched by border police at the Canadian border for hours before being released and given 2 days to return home. The only reason I have given two stars is because after having to change the dates on my tickets a second time and being told I had to pay for the change this time (roughly $350), I went personally into the office in Eastland to speak with a manager. We discussed my position and all of the errors that had been made. The lady manager was happy to listen to the issues and dropped the charge for the second flight date change and apologized. Shocked at how her staff member could have made so many serious errors.

Lovely at face value once they have your money there is a complete lack of care and customer service goes out the window. They managed to screw up 2/3 of my accomodation bookings and nearly all of the activities I booked and did not care at all. Would not recommend.

Just back from our first trip to USA. 24 days in total, we went to Memphis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Fransicso and some R&R in Hawaii to finish off. It was amazing, better than we imagined.
Dustin at Flight Centre Eastland assisted us in so many ways both in the initial planning and bookings. Where to fly first, suggested driving from Vegas to LA, much better than sitting in airports. We also drove LA to San Fran, again wouldn't have thought to do it. Dustin assisted with flights, hotels, tours and the trip we ended up with was fantastic.
Would highly recommended Dustin for any future holidays/trips you are planning. We did everything over email and the phone, only popped in to pick up the tickets, it was all so easy. Thanks again Dustin.

Gabrielle put 100% into planning the most amazing holiday. From the second she started planning until the minute we landed back into Melbourne she made sure everything was going to plan and we had no trouble the whole time. One week in London and stayed at the Lancaster hotel and a week in paris and stayed at Royal saint Germain. Both great places! All tours booked in both London and Paris were amazing would do it again. Highly highly recommend booking a holiday at Eastland Flight centre through Gabrielle.

I have booked with Teaghan at Flight Centre in Eastland a few times now and she is fantastic! Takes all of the stress out of bookings and gives me option on things I didn't even know I could do. Can't recommend highly enough.
