59Love this garden.such a peaceful green area in the middle of the Hustle and bustle of the CBD especially when you get to this side of the city where the court corner is and all the police cars that occupy this area to go in and out from the court. Also it has a good history behind it as it use to have the light house for all the boats that come in and out of the port Melbourne bay in the old days.
It's a nice garden. Good for taking fresh air or exercise around. Just know that it's near the road with cars so it's probably gonna be noisy or not necessarily be fresh air. Just need to avoid the traffic. Also it's a good spot to walk the dogs. So if you're walking the dogs, make sure your dog's can control themselves as a lot of dog owners would be there for a stroll
Nice play to relax on a sunny day. It gets busy and if it's rain during the day take a water proof rug for the ground because tables an seats are scarce an it's hilly so the smooth patch you pick to take a seat, may have just been a small area of water pooling.
Has lots of possums to feed at night. Also, there's a futsal pitch and BBQ facilities, which are the closest to Melbourne CBD.
Big space small playground but that never stop the kids from having a great time playing even after the sunset.
Nice to see some Autumn colors as well. Really good place to relax and enjoy on your lunch or shopping break. Good walking paths and quite a bit of seating and you also have a lot of grass areas with some in shade due to the mature trees. Close to public transport. Like the garden beds as well that change with the seasons.
Nice park but they need to do something about the rats scurrying around in the evenings. Beautiful mature trees and a pretty nice play area for kids.
A lively garden all though the day with private boot camps and fitness classes run throughout the day. The gardens and grassy areas are well maintained. The garden is popular for getting out of the office and taking in some sunshine. There are also public barbeques, a lawn bowls club and fenced basket ball/net ball courts
Why are people riding their bikes in this park? A kid got hit and the gentleman man on the bike just floored it.cmon Melbourne!
Amazing gardens with place for every age group to.choll out right next to Victoria Market. Children park, skating rink, public barbeque stands.
A small jog is perfect for this park & escape from the maham in the city, this park is perfect! Roll your blanket down and relax!
If you want to spend a moment on the grass on a sunny day this is the spot. You might even get roped into a random activity with random persons.:)
Good place for walking and getting fresh with fresh air. Nice neat and clean garden with benches and barbecue.
Nice park lots happening, dog walking, sport, family time. We had a lovely little picnic here with food from victoria markets, just across the road. Lovely park in the city
Best place to chill out and get away from city life right in the heart of the city.steps from tram stops and flaggstaff train station.if you get a chance definitely go and sit in flaggstaff gardens and watch the world go by you
The place is so peaceful and amazing. It near to the city centre and and can be reached by a free ride tram
A park connected to Melbourne's very early history, near Queen Victoria markets. Large shady trees, grassy areas, wide paths and pleasant city-scape views. A memorial to some of Melbourne's original settlers who were buried within the park grounds. A nearby relocated Anglican church originally built in 1839 can be seen from the top of the hill - (relocated and rebuilt in 1912). Floral display along the Southern roadside. A lovely spot (with a bit of an other-worldly feel). Great place to take rest or to let children exercise their legs.
Lovely place to spend an afternoon or lunch break with green grass and plenty of shade. Watch your head though for random loose balls and frisbees that are being thrown around as the local school seems to be using it as their playing field
