A bit meh. Acceptable as a last resort, but not something you'd choose.

Burger good. Chips a bit mushy. Bruschetta ok. Pasta carbonara overcooked and too creamy. Felafel salad plain. Chicken tandoori salad weird.

Looks kind of appealing but doesn't live up to promise, probably in part because of the huge menu - fish and chips, pasta, kebab, burgers, salad, risottos, steak, all day breakfast, soups.

Ample parking available in front and tables are well spaced out.
This diner serves awesome food and fish served is amazing.
The tartar sauce is in itself good enough with no ketchup required.
We had a satisfying meal on a quiet afternoon with no frills at all and the waiting staff is always around to refill our glasses.
Truly, truly, truly, I could definitely dine in here everyday given the chance!

Food tastes great and staff are super friendly, one staff member stepped aside and helped a senior to read the menu and work out what they wanted to order. Will definitely be coming back

I’m always wary of a place that has a large menu. My thoughts are ‘how can they keep all this prepped up and of good quality’. I was proven wrong. Food was delicious. However, staff were mediocre at best. Not really personable.

Love this place. Dined outdoors wit my dog & my neices. Was made feel very welcome & the dog was very spoilt by wait staff! Thanks, great dining experience. Will definitely be back

Fantastic Experrience as a first outing with our new pup Roxy. The staff organised a sheltered table in an outside alcove.
Roxy made friends immediately with a regular Staffy called Ziggy. Plus with people out walking and a young inside diner via the window.
Our omlette's were divine and the coffees perfect. And the staff awesome.

By far the best meal I've had from a cafe/ restaurant in Warrnambool. The people working there were helpful, happy and offered great service. The meal itself was great, cooked to perfection and the outdoor area is clean, tidy with a variety of options. Under cover or in the shade of an umbrella. Such a cosy little gem.

Best breakfast we have had in a LONG TIME. Spanish omelette a d good coffee. Our new favourite place for breakfast in warrnambool.

Went there for breakfast with granddaughter, very pleasant and friendly staff as usual, great filling breakfast.
Most enjoyable place for a meal or a delicious coffee.

Went with the Mrs on 10/11/2022 in the afternoon and had couple of smoothies. Very warm and welcoming customer service by the staff.

We were greeted and served by staff with a smile on their faces. Good to see that some restaurants still value customer service

The staff were amazing and the food came out quickly and it’s a great price for the amount you get but the food is not the best, I got flake and chips and it just lacked flavour and the flake was dry, my friend got the garlic prawns and said they weren’t the greatest and tasted very bland may have just been what we ordered but yeah other than that it’s a lovely location and great vibe.

Had coffee and cake here. We chose this place as it was open late on Sunday afternoon. Service was reasonable - same with the coffee and cake.

Food was great and the staff were fantastic. Sandra went the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely be back.

Very long wait for food and coffees. Food is average at best. Would rate standard around a decent to low end family friendly establishment.

Magnificent range on the menu, cheerful & efficient service & very tasty food. Highly recommend.

We had the vegan veggie pack, which was six different types of sliced veggies battered and deep fried with chips, and the rainbow stirfry, also vegan. Both were great and exactly what we each felt like. Also the Tropo juice. Winner.

A HUGE selection of food and everything was delicious. Clean, relaxed, friendly staff. Will be back for sure.

I have to say that fishtales Café has friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere and a good place for a coffee or even something to eat they are reasonably priced and is a great place to visit if you are looking for a Café in Warrnambool to relax and unwind with friends or family or even colleagues. Loved every minute I was there will definitely visit again. The menu was easy to follow.
