Fifteen Pounds Cafe reviews
50A lovely local cafe with friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast menu has old favourites, as well as interesting takes on the classics. Rear courtyard is quiet and shady
I felt like I was sitting in a cruisy beach side cafe. Great service, great coffee. Delicious menu with large serves. This is a hidden gem in Fairfield.
One of the best cafe in Melbourne, you can not imagine how good the services ls and how friendly the staff were. The drinks were perfect and tasty. We had an infant 3 M old. There were one of the staff named John he was playing, talking to our baby all the time and really he made our baby smile a lot️. I really enjoyed my time there. The indoor seats were great and they have outdoor and in back seats. I really love this place. Recommend and I’ll be back here for sure.
Absolutely phenomenal, this cafe truly encompasses what Melbourne's food scene is about, service was spectacular, our server (I think he may be the owner) seems like he genuinely cares and wants to get to know the customers, loved it. The food was incredible for a cafe, it was obviously made with love and care, and it showed on the plate, the flavour combinations were interesting and fresh. The coffee was top notch and the freshly squeezed orange juice was astonishing. Couldn't recommend this place more. Anyone that loves a good food should be coming here. Top 5 cafes for me instantly.
Food was underwhelming, dry and expensive. Hash browns were closer to fried mash potato and waffles were dry and overly sweet. Not worth the $50 for breakfast for two.
Always a great meal and coffee at this place. John and staff are amazing, very accommodating. You will not be disappointed.
Sitting outside under a thin plastic shelter, our heads were cooking because the ceiling was very low and not shaded. Our table had 13 people ordering at the same time. Some people got their food quickly, other after 90 minutes. The food also was average but costly.
This little cafe in Fairfield is a delight.
I had a near to perfect Caesar salad and a good coffee. The staff members are welcoming and professional.
Such a lovely spot sitting out front under the umbrella in a beautiful quiet street.service is great. Coffee is tip top. And menu is interesting and backed up with excellent food
Just ordered the Jamila Bowl and it has earned its place in my top 10 salad list! Excellent combination of flavour and texture. Super fresh and the smokey babaganoush was perfect Good coffee too. Perfect place for a quick and healthy lunch.
A stronghold of the Fairfield cafe scene, I wanted to se what the new owners have done with the place. Service was a bit awkward, got the wrong coffee but food was quite good. Still so handy across the road from the train station so sure it will do well once they iron out the bugs.
Basic decor, although acceptable for a casual/informal drink/light meal. The front of the cafe belies what is available out the back. We were there for the music on a Sunday afternoon and that went down well. Menu is limited but enough for a snack and a nibble. Ample variety of drinks available on the drinks menu, wine beers and cocktails. Although the cocktails were reasonably priced, the mixed drinks were a tad expensive. Amply parking available, Fairfield railway station is across the road.
Really great food, had quite a wait for food as they were extremely busy, it was definitely worth the wait.
Excellent speciality coffee and great food. Generous sizes. Well priced and amazing staff. Love fifteen pounds
Fifteen Pounds is our local coffee shop and one of the best locals Melb. Hash Stack 2.0 is divine and make a mean iced latte. The vibe is very family friendly and welcoming even when we are just there for coffee and the paper there is no pressure from staff to move along. Thanks team!
I don’t normally leave reviews but this place was so good, I just had to! From the speedy service to the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff, everything was just 10/10. My favorite part was the big smiles on all of the staffs faces! Highly recommend. Great work guys - I’ll definitely be back!
I went here yesterday, lovely staff, food and a cosy indoor atmosphere and for night time dining extends outdoors to the rear, right across the road from Fairfield Station and plenty of side street parking.
Surprised by the very high rating to be honest. We found it just OK -maybe an ofd day? There were several service issues throughout our visit (forgotten water, meal mix up, and continuously trying to deliver food and drink for the table next to us, to us). The coffee was nice and the food was OK. Omelet special was thick and rubbery, more like an overdone frittata, and it was boring/plain in terms of flavour. Toilets and handwashing area also leave a lot to be desired. Wouldn't rush back.
Great coffee, Friendly staff, great food.
Wonderfull place
I'll be going back for sure
Compare to other around this place is 10
stars The friendly customer give a colour un this place and you cant miss it you must to come and enjoy the coffe, food and the place.
We went here for coffee and breakfast. Food and coffee were both good and the general vibe of the place was pretty relaxed. The menu was fairly diverse and missed a few of those 'traditional' choices.
