The venue had limited viewing options, no extra screen if you were sitting on the side. The stage was also very small and the microphone wasn’t very loud making it hard to hear at times. Very difficult to find the different gates.

Rustic, reminded me of an old school country dance all. Wait to enter and gates and doors were confusing not a lot of communication from staff, searing poorly labelled. Card purchases only no cash.

The venue itself is not bad but the security team do a lot of unnecessary things such as stop allowing patrons taking water to the standing area or inside the venue. It's a fundamental human right to have access to water and it was disgusting to see people faint when they were trying to enjoy a show. Further, the security team treat everyone like a threat, which is so 2001 and exercise power like they own the place. That alone is reason enough to rate the venue down.

Used to be.well magic. It's still a good venue but the fact that hilling own it, really leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Absolutely incompetent. Do not attend any event here even if it's your favourite artist. Ableist staff as well. The sound quality is horrible. Staff were so rude and standoffish. Literally all the security have sticks up their freaking arses and act like you're causing them a huge annoyance for asking some bloody questions. They can't even do their jobs properly as I was able to pass through VIP with no wristband Like go get some counselling if the job is so stressful instead of putting all your trauma on innocent patrons. I would say get another job if you hate your job so much, but unfortunately no one would want to hire you and your non existent interpersonal skills. Acting so tough and macho at a Kpop concert is laughable. Even at a bigger venues like Rod Laver Arena or even The Forum, they are so friendly and can joke around with patrons and do such a great job at providing an awesome experience and night. Literally not a single braincell like mate, learn the difference between tickets and passout. Unfortunately that was the worst concert I have ever attended due to all the staff and security in blue and the grey and black. Hope you got off ruining my night though Venue also owned by some duds. DO NOT SUPPORT.

Great sounding venue. Lots of space and facility’s where good.long live live music. There’s plenty of bars nearby. It’s just a great place. Sounds great is great. Everything is great. Long live live music.

Toilets were disgusting and the bar was in a little crack den downstairs without any TVs or anything to show you what's happening upstairs on stage

Everything of the lowest quality, unsafe stairs, seen few people fell off when going up and down the stairs to toilet

It wasn't a concert hall! Without any performance conditions. With really uncomfortable chairs.
However, İ enjoyed from my favorite singer voice

Well this venue is good enough just for a concert where people standing close to the stand and the music band.
It is NOT a good place for sitting down and listening to the music, especially if you are sitting in the balcony in front of the stand.
Firstly the seats were the worst ones for such a venue. There us not enough space between rows for a person passing.
The second and the worst one is; there is no separation between music hall and stairways. I was sitting in the balcony in isle sit and I almost heard all noise from stair ways and small bar in the back and generally was distracted:/
There is not enogh sound isolation to separate stair ways and sitting area of the hall, except a half wall.
Also, when people were walking in the back, I could easily hear them all the time during concert.
If there was a proper carpet, for instance, it can be less noise. Or if there was a proper wall between sitting area and stairways instead of a half wall, could bring more comfort for people.

Please do some maintenance for this building or close it down.

Thanks

The two stars are for the sound. The sound was great. The layout and organisation was horrific. Making one bar down stairs where you couldn’t take drinks upstairs for the band who were celebrating their album turning 15 was insane (making the fans is this album 3 at the time). It annoyed everyone. It made a huge unnecessary queue then forced people to quickly binge drink before the band started. I’ve never been to such a poorly organised gig. I enjoyed the community feel of everyone seeing what a ridiculous affair it was but it would have been better if they had even had one seconds thought about this.

Im not leaving a review, but actually asking a QUESTIONNN!
I wanted to book tickets and only Gold and Silver is available on sides.
If i book the gold, should i book the bottom or top, where is the view better?

Festival hall is now the home of Hillsongs Church Melbourne city campus.
It has changed in a good way since the new Interim Global Senior Pastor Phil & Lucinda Dooley have taken over.
They appear much more vibrant and real.

Gargantuan Palce for great artist to display their talent. Don’t perform there if you’re a small time artist coz U won’t get numbers

Have been to many gigs here and have loved them all. Only issues are minor, space and exit strategies are terrible. Especially in covid times they lock the 4 big main doors and everyone shuffles out shoulder to shoulder at a snails pace. Merch stands weren't super accessible for me and I'm sure they do their best and it isn't the bands fault but I find the sound is not fantastic for vocals. Nothing against the singers in the slightest, Great voices, just bad acoustics. Otherwise, a great venue with great memories. Parked in an almost empty street 3 blocks down. Less than 5 min walk. Easy exit from the city back to Gtown.

I went to attend Kyari-pamyu-pamyu's Oz tour. It was a blast. This place is a little bit hard to locate though, and the utilities (especially restrooms) are outdated and need maintenance.

So happy this place is still available for shows. The bar set up needs to be sorted tho. At the event I went to, the lines were LONG, the bar staff were slow and there needes to be at least 6, not 2. Set up/lay out needs to be planned better but this will obviously change show to show. Regardless, amazing venue for live music of all kinds! Iconic Melbourne venue!

It's a decent music venue. However if attending a music festival there, if you'll require food, there is nothing close everything is around a good kilometre walk. The toilets are pretty small. However parking was OK in surroundings streets.
