Ferntree Thai Restaurant

We had takeaway. The entree golden bags spring rolls and pumpkin fritters were all overcooked to the point of some being burned. The meat in the stir fry was so tough it was hard to eat and couldn't taste the peanut. The Pad Thai was done with singapore noodles and not pad thai noodles and was dry and gluggy. My husband was the only one who thought his was alright, but he had a hot spicy curry so probably could only taste the chilli. Have been to this restaurant many times in the past and found it to be good. Have they changed chefs?

I have been a customer of this business for quite a few years & have found the food to be beautiful each time I ate it. Unfortunately I feel this may be part of the problem as I believe they know their food is good so they let customer service slide.
I have had Bronchitis for several weeks & have been very ill. During this time I was craving one of their stir fries. I had unfortunately been involved in a car accident (I was not at fault) & had our car written off so I had no car but my friend had offered to pick up the meal for me. We ordered on the Menulog app & I asked for my meal to be mild & my friend asked for his to be hot. When we went to eat our food we found they had mixed up the spiciness, my friends meal was mild & had cashews added (I had ordered those for my meal) & my meal was HOT! I cannot tolerate any heat in my food & my mouth was literally on fire for 20 minutes. This really should not have been a big deal - I simply wanted them to replace my meal with the spice level I had asked for & the added cashews. Well I rang them a total of 6 times over 2 days eventually leaving them my number so the manager, who is also the owner, could call me directly. I never received a call. I ended up having to throw away the food as they wanted me to keep it so they could taste it I guess to make sure I wasn’t lying. Why you would lie about something like this baffles me. So I ended up out of pocket $20.00, didn’t get the meal I had been craving & the whole situation left me extremely frustrated. We had spent over $70 on the entire order & my friend even left them a tip! You can have the best food in the world but if you have no customer service you will lose customers. You have well & truly lost me as a customer & I will be taking this further as I am owed $20.00. Plus on one of my calls to them they hung up on me! That’s very un-business like & incredibly rude! Start treating your customers with the care & respect they deserve.

I spoke to you directly on Monday 30/7/18. You have all my contact details. I will give you until the end of the week Sunday 12th August, 2018 to rectify this problem or I will take this issue further onto the proper authorities. From looking at reviews & comments it appears lack of customer service has been an issue for quite a while.

Absolutely the worst restaurant I have eaten in. They served another table that came in after us. Brought out two entrée, s and Rot bread for one couple, 5 minutes later brought out the second couple entrée but no Roti bread, and the final entrée we had to ask where it was. They didn't offer us water or did we want any drinks. The main meal the rice was cold, I had the sweet and sour chicken which was luke warm and it had only 3 small pieces of pineapple, one of us got a plate full of vegetables and tofu which wasn't ordered, the Masaman curry was great the steak and ginger dish wasn't the meat was tough. All up bloody terrible. Im annoyed I had to give you a star
