Fat Chef Ballarat reviews
45Fantastic food! Tasty and good size portions. Great value for money. We support the Fat Chef in Carrum Downs so we decided to pop in and try it. Don’t be discouraged by the decor or lack of signage as it’s a work in progress. They’ve only been open for 3-4weeks. Give em a go Ballarat! We’ll be back!
Positives: food was cooked well and was very delicious (we ordered the parmalaki platter for 2) there was plenty of food on the board for 2 people.
Our waiter was very polite and friendly and had no complications with taking our order.
Negatives: the dining area is not very inviting and was not heated (in mid-June)
Coffee was brought out cold (nice waiter however replaced the coffees as soon as he was made aware.)
One of our guests dishes (zucchini fritters) was burnt on the outside and barely cooked inside.
If you do want to try this restaurant be sure to order a platter as this is what they are best known for and they really impressed with that dish.
And bring a jacket to wear in winter.
2 hr wait for food to come out. When it did finally come out, the Parmas were burnt to a crips i had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. The caesar salad took longest to come out and it was a Greek salad. Kept telling us that their system was down. Music was that loud you could not hear the person next to you and they had you packed in tighter than sardines.
Good service, good food.
Waiters are very pleasant
Rib platter was fantastic
Will definitely be back to try another platter
Most amazing dinner, amazing service, melt in your mouth food, delicious drinks and the best cheese cake we have ever eaten. Manager (we think) Nabin was absolutely amazing and the waitress (didn't get her name) at the start of the night was really good too, I commend her on her great service when it was her first night. Bar tender also amazing service and drinks. Chefs cooked the best food and the cheese cake for dessert was the best cheese cake we have ever eaten. Highly recommend you visit this place if you live in Ballarat or visiting
