Faraday's Cage reviews
76 Two words to describe this place Fitzroy Gem!
The food is next level, from taste to plate, absolutely top experience.
Shoutout to the staff working on the 4th of December, on a busy sunny day, couldn’t have asked for better, more genuine and smiley service; it felt like everything they do at this place has a whole lot of love, will be back for more.
Thank you!
A wonderful Fitzroy backstreet cafe, quieter and more personal than anything on the main strips. Indoor and outdoor seating (with umbrellas) and dog friendly. The staff are lovely and the menu is interesting and tasty. The katsu sando is a favorite. Faraday's is also a bakery with great sourdough and pastries.
(photo not of the exact place, btw)
The gorgeous barista who made my cappacino seemed genuinely delighted to do so. Ssmo i'd recommend bringing your own nice cup from home, for her to try.
That's a pretty good way to get coffee, right?
One of my favourite places for brunch, a real treat! The rosti are lovely, the coffee is good, and the variety on the menu is great… am a big fan of the sando, fritters and beets!
Hidden cafe in Fitzroy which is a must try. Coffee is strong (i like my flat white strong) and the pulled pork eggs benny is so good! This is not your usual eggs benny flavour wise. It has kimchi on it. Something new for me and I will def be back. I heard that the pancake is good too! An unexpected find
A hidden garden cafe with lovely ambience and beautiful setting. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great Croissant, mushrooms and coffee. Worth a try.
- as the shakshouka is not served in the hot pan as expected but served warm in the bowl instead.their toast is the highlight, even bought one home at the end:)
I ordered a corn fritter and egg item from the menu. It specified that it had toasted almonds in it but did not mention that it also had peanuts mixed with the almonds. As I have a peanut alergy this dish made me incredibly sick and I could have died. When I called to report this event the staff were dismissive and uncaring. Entirely unprofessional and irresponsible to mention almonds but omit peanuts - one of the most dangerous food allergies.
Staff was friendly and kind. Food was so great! I’ve stayed front of this cafe. So happy to stayed that spot.
If you bored with usual breakfast options, i highly recommend this place with amazing breakfast options.
Friendly staff and lovely coffee
Very nice and comfy environment.
Staff were friendly and nice.
Price regarding portion size was good
Super chilled atmosphere with great coffee and interesting menu. Best brunch in Fitzroy by far!
Have had 2 great experiences eating at Faraday’s cafe. The food is amazing. So far I have had the fritters and the chili scramble and you can bet I will be back to try more. I highly recommend to anyone!
Had a wonderful brunch. Staff were brilliant food options amazing and quality of food excellent. A+
French toast is definitely not french toast. More like a meat loaf was disappointed. Coffee was good tho
Staff are friendly enough, food is alright but they forgot my food after ordering, my friends received theirs but I had to ask again to get what I ordered.
Excellent location. I had no expectations I was incredibly pleased. Chicken Panko sandwich was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Average food; rosti needed seasoning and I paid $5 for not so fresh smoked salmon. The lattes took forever and were served warm, perhaps the slowest service ever.
The sourdough here is literally from a different planet the katsu sandwich is possibly the love of my life
