Fable Melbourne

My friend and I went here for some cocktails and the general ambiance to celebrate my 21st.

The actual venue was gorgeous with amazing views of the city. The food was insanely good (I will dream of the halloumi chips) and drinks were phenomenal - we were able to order based completely on the server’s recommendations and were never disappointed (thank you Josh).

Josh was the best server we’ve had to date. He promptly brought us all our food and drink, made perfect suggestions, and made us feel so happy and comfortable. 11/10 service!

Both Josh and Georgia made sure I had a wonderful birthday celebration. We will absolutely be coming back and it is solely due to the exceptional service.

Awesome place to go for a couple of drinks and a chat. I've been here many time and have enjoyed it everytime.

I would give the overall experience 3.5/5. I can appreciate what Fable is trying to achieve, but it’s just not hitting the mark. The entire menu is gluten free which is great! My friends and I tried a number of cocktails from the menu. Out of the 6 we ordered, we only liked one of them. It’s the most I’ve paid for a cocktail in Melbourne, so I was expecting something extraordinary. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre. The calamari was way too salty and oily. The halloumi chips and sweet potato were nice, but they were both paired with sweet sauces which just didn’t gel with the overall dish. Side note: recent Fable Instagram images indicate three kebabs per serve, we received two. The marketing stickers on the windows detract from the skyline view and feel a little tacky. It may just be the corner we were seated in on the night, but we didn’t feel like we were on a rooftop. There were 4 of us - We spent $336 for 6 cocktails, 1 beer and 6 mid size dishes.

Visited this venue a few months back for a single beverage. Very accomodating staff, slightly higher priced drinks however the service and the atmosphere is worth the prices alone. Highly recommend.

We went here for evening drinks and absolutely loved it. The view itself deserves 5 stars. They have a great cocktail menu with so many unique creations. The servers and bar tenders were all so lovely and helpful. The bar had a great vibe, good music, and incredible views from the 13th floor. It is a small space so feels very intimate and cosy. We didn't try the food but the options sound amazing so I definitely need to visit again.

Amazing bottomless brunch - both food and cocktails were incredible! The service was outstanding, the team are so attentive and friendly. Fable is now on the favourite list!

From the moment I was greeted on arrival my Fable experience was sky high amazing! We topped and tailed our evening with Unreal Banana Peel shots featuring house made banana liquor. Very smooth. We ate taramosalata, beef tartare, cured kingfish, haloumi, lamb kebabs, and mushroom risotto. Very happy with all dishes. I also enjoyed a metronome and a dirty gin martini. If you are after great food, top notch service, delish food and all round good vibes I highly recommend Fable. I will return on my next Melbourne visit.

Drinks and food was good, the churos were fresh but didn't taste the typical style and didn't have the citrus as per menu. The cherry choc tart was balanced heaven. The location is nice but.can be very windy at times. Maybe can close the shutters on those days? Book this place as it is very busy, come for some nice cocktails!

The entrance for @fablemelbourne is not easy to see but it’s well worth seeking out.

We had a wonderful afternoon/evening here. The view is fantastic during the day and night, the service is really friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is great. The cocktail list was well thought out and had something for everyone. The presentation and taste of the cocktails were great. It’s always fun to have some fire included on the cocktail list but the fun was definitely well balanced with quality cocktails.

This is a great option for a bar with a view!

Wow never been here before but the presentation is stellar and beautiful, the staff are very neat and tidy

Enjoyed the atmosphere and location with an interesting Greek twist on some well thought out dishes. Staff friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the visit and I will return.

Celebrated our anniversary and had such an amazing experience.firstly the view was unreal, the service second to none, the food was absolutely delicious.cannot wait to come back!

Food were just ok, we ordered almost all of the small plates & some of the main. Taste weren’t as special as the cocktails.

Nice view, delicious cocktail and friendly staff. I would give five stars if Fable does not have a 2 hour sitting limit. I understand Fable has limited space. I would prefer them to have minimum spend per person per hour rather than 2 hour sitting limit.

Hideaway rooftop bar with great decor, friendly staff, and good cocktails. We only had a few starters, but that was pretty good. The calamari was a highlight. It's a small venue and I suggest you get your booking done in advance.

Well. It's different!
It's more of a 'Cocktail Bar' that serves food to 'Graze On' together, as opposed to a restaurant that also serves drinks, hence the reason the food menu is One Page. The drinks/Cocktail list is a booklet containing around Twelve Pages!
Also the food is for 'sharing' which is very strange. I love lamb, my wife won't touch it. The portions are snacks for 2, Dinner for 1 size.
Having said all that, the food is very good (the Lamb Shoulder. OMG could it be any more tender!? Absolutely Gorgeous!) and yes I had the Lamb to myself and my wife had the Chicken.
Great night out, good service, would recommend it.

Amazing views of Melbourne city, gorgeous to sit and watch the sunset. Food is delicious must try the beef tartare, yum service is also fabulous, be sure to visit Fable

Loved everything about Fable. Our waiter Ian was fantastic and looked after us so well all night, the food was so delicious, the view over Melbourne at night was fabulous and really set the scene, the cocktails were great. Would highly recommend Fable for dinner and/or drink.
