43 Nice room
I planned to stay more than a week but on arrival (after payment) decided to reduce to 1 night due to a work offer somewhere else
Was no problem at all
Located at the entrance to Chinatown's western main street, this pub (there is a bottle shop in the front) is one of the "most beautiful" of our trip to Australia (although I actually really liked almost all of the pubs). Friendly service, fantastic bar, great atmosphere, well-kept stylish ambience, prices OK, simply perfect!
Great pub, with bottle shop, open till 4AM, wonderful staff (I love them), hosting a great Comedy show month (Melbourne Festival - Chris), nice pool table & Jukebox too (with video), and those occasional pizza (thank you Ocean). My local pub!
Stayed in the hostel for a week, very nice and chill rooms. People are friendly and the bar is amazing.
Came here for the comedy festival and had drinks beforehand.
Overall pretty good but the only bar food they offer is pizza which was out of stock when I went.
Decent amount of seating available.
Nothing special. The smallest glass of lemon lime and bitters I have ever drunk.in a whiskey glass.
Bouncer tried to hit me but instead had a stroke.
Least I know the shield of GOD works on physical attacks.
Place would be a safe haven for evil as I will never return or help there, lucky Thursdays I was often out front.
This is a good affordable place to stay in the heart of Melbourne with friendly and helpful staff. There's a great pub downstairs with $8 pints and a bottle shop that stays open until 4am. I highly recommend.
Each time we visit melb this is our watering hole
Staff are friendly and hotel old world and warm
Its long history of service to the drinkers of Melbourne. It's not the best or the worst. Right in the middle. That's a good thing. It's consistent and has out lasted most others for that reason.
It's cheap, the atmosphere is pleasant and it's open late pretty much every day. Pretty bulletproof as far as bars go.
It’s a pub with $3.50 peanuts, nothing stood out appears to any other pub. Pricing is standard as well was the cleanliness.
The security were so professional and honestly as a manager of a large hospitality company, I was so grateful at the complete professionalism and care the guards here showed. 5 stars for sure
It's a dive but the pool's free, the staff friendly, beers alright and pizza decent. All up pretty rare for cbd.
Booked single room. Good private. Bit noisy near Chinatown but nothing earplugs couldn't fix. Good central location and helpful staff.
The venue is alright, they have a juke box that plays the music video to the song you picked on a projector. Got there cheapest pint of an IPA and it $10.50
Great pub, fantastic cooked to order pizza. And since we went in on a Sunday we got to play pool for free which was a happy bonus!
Worst beds I have ever slept on. The springs are basically sticking through the mattress. Don't stay here it's really bad.
I went here to watch the NBA playoffs but it wasn't on ESPN so it wasn't televised. The manager said he wanted to watch it also so he gave me the staff wifi so I could stream it on my phone. Good fella. Good selection of beers for typical Melbourne prices
Exford Hotel is not only a hostel but it has also a cool bar, a smoker’s terrace and a liquor store. Accessible also for non-guests. The bar was one of my favourite spots when in Melbourne. Cool place to hang out till late night and meet locals, expats and other travellers.
