Excelsior Hotel

I went and had dinner at the hotel and the staff are amazing, that assistant manager Mitchell is professional and helpful will definitely recommend to my friends to go here for a great and well priced meal and drinks with great ambiance.

The venue is nice ish and spacious
However I had the worst steak of my life here - a 50$ eye fillet. The pricings quite obscene for a pub
The steak was full of fat, just a really bad cut of meat with no seasoning whatsoever
Mushroom sauce also not fresh and really quite gross
Also asked for medium rare and what came out was a rare steak
Chicken Parma was decent but that steak was from another planet

The only reason I gave 1 star was because the food was actually ok. We have been coming to Excelsior for over 10 years and since covid this has majorly gone down hill. Management has very clearly changed hands. The security are useless, they let drunks from the TAB come through to the bistro side and let them harrass customers. The staff are just as bad laughing along with the drunks. The staff couldn't manage a bar and cocktails were served in plastic cups. Had arranged a booking, the bistro wasn't that busy and it took the staff over 10 minutes to show up to the sign that states wait to be seated. It such a shame for this well located bistro. We definitely won't be back and will be recommending our friends/family NOT to go back.

We frequently visit the Excelsior Hotel either with the family, friends or work colleagues. Not once have I found the meals to be disappointing. Always delicious. We’ll keep returning, I recommend other to do the same.
Porterhouse steak, amazingly cooked.

I love this restaurant. From the fantastic service to the amazing staff, this restaurant is one of my favourite locations to come to. Shahina, Riley and Anchal were all so lovely and provided excellent customer service. The pure happiness and joy my family and I experience here is incomparable to another restaurant. I will forever be a returning customer. Keep up the excellent work!

The parma was horrendous, the snitzel was the cheap stuff from coles
Other than that it's actually a lovely pub but the parma killed me

Need to spend a bit more time on the Menu, perfecting each meal would be good. Staff where friendly and efficient.

Asked for takeaway food, cashier said 'he would do something about it'. In the end, we get a plate and we can't take it away.

Great place for a drink and eating. The food was delicious when we went there and came pretty quick. Staff were helpful and friendly. The big screens are a joy to watch whatever sport you are interested in. I'd recommend this place highly.

Awesome food and customer service at the bistro. All staff at the bistro very friendly and nice. The gaming Covid-19 police ruined it a little by being both over officious and inconsistent.

We had lunch here today. We both enjoyed our meals- my scotch fillet was very nice as was my husbands steak and ribs. The salad was nice but small. It took a long time to order our meals - but we didn’t have to wait long for them to arrive. They need a better system when paying and ordering the food.

Rooms are a perfect size as a travelling company rep, I would recommend it. Rooms are modern and clean. Although I didn't dine in cause I arrived late. The place was buzzing. Reception was a little hard to find, but got there eventually. Please be aware, they take a $200 bond out of your credit on arrival. This will be credited back into your card 3-4 days after you have checked out. Just make allowances for that if you are holidaying.

Unfortunately my main meal was not very nice, but the dessert and coffee special made up for that. Was there for That's Good For Footy panel show. Staff friendly

We were in a big party. Everyone was happy with their food.
Had a bourbon and cola premix and 250ml glass of cab sav - $24!
Took a long time for coffee to arrive at the end of the night.

Overall a pleasant place. Had dinner in bistro section, food was very enjoyable, portion size of the meals we orderd were filling. Not a huge Selection on menu compared to some other bistros ive been to, but otherwise all else good. Staff very friendly. You can go there for a meal, or just for coffee or a drink from the few bars they have situated throughout. Pool tables also available with big screens to watch sports. They have pokies section, with out door seating / smokers area. Good place if you're wanting to stay local.

Get ready line live up 20 mins to order food and another 10 for a drink. Grossly understaffed. Food average at best.

Yet another win for my son on the pole machine today good on him, he seems to have a lot of luck at the excelsior hotel. It's a very friendly place to eat drink and have a safe gamble on the machines
