Eva's Food and Cafe - Food Truck reviews
50Visited only once but not again. We ordered veg momos and soya chapp and weighted for 40minutes in cold night. All dishes were below average in taste and quality, even momos not cooked properly and soua chap was a disaster. And price is really high according to food.i recommend not go their because waste of tym and waste of money
Visited only once but not again. We ordered chole kulcha, paneer tikka wrap and samosa chat and weighted for 40 minutes in cold night. All three dishes were below average in taste and quality, even frozen paneer wrap and naans tastes good. Chole masala was just ok but samosa chaat was a disaster. I don’t understand why they use so much yogurt and tamarind chutney for chaat? !
Waste of money and time.
I ordered veg momo. I was craving for momo after finishing late night work and looked like it was the only place close to me open at that hour.
Paid $18 for 10 grated cabbage with salt & pepper wrapped and hot sauce (maybe sriracha sauce) on side. Stars for late night food availability. Not worth the price and not recommended.
Great food!
This was the best chole kulche and chole bhature I have ever had. I enjoy street style food and have been exploring options and now I think I found the right place.
It’s 5 starts for everything except for the wait time. But trust me it’s worth the time.
Amazing food! Really one of the best foods to enjoy Indian cuisine. The burger fusion of Indian Street food was very enjoyable! All the best, we will definitely return. Need to drive 30+ minutes for it but it's really worth it
One of the best places in town and our new go to.
Their Kulcha Ghana was amazing and loved their mom is. The staff is amazing as well. Highly recommended
Kulcha chana 10/10
momos vegetable 10/10
I love their food especially their steamed momos! Always fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection! It’s a must to have; will definitely recommend this place. Their food is absolutely delicious and Eva is the kindest host
We came here tonight and We were soooo impressed! The beautiful food was topped with beautiful service and the hard working owners are such beautiful people who definitely deserve this credit! I recommend everyone to come try Eva’s food and cafe! Now that I’ve discovered this food truck I will be here more often supporting this magnificent local small business! Absolutely delicious food! I cannot recommend this place enough! Try for yourself!
One of the best food we ate in Victoria really missing your food thanks for the tasty food. The taste of food really took us back to India
Wonderful Vegetarian food.a true delight for Vegetarians. I tried multiple times and every time food and service are flawless. Had Chole Kulcha last time and awesome taste.a must try place.
Terrible service. Have to wait for more than an hour for the order. Prices are reasonable and quality is average.
Over priced, less quantity and misleading names. I ordered Cheese chilly momos but the filling only had onions and capsicum in it, and there was not cheese in it. Samosa chat was good.
Everything's good. Good taste definitely.with hot fresh food but I would like to keep them focused on plz increase the quantity of your food, it's way very less.we ordered pakora here, but it was just a 2-3 couple of piece's which is way very less for the price.they're taking.if u want to fill ur self entirely think of spending no less than 25-30$ only for one.person means a little expensive.bt ys I admit the taste, quality everything's fair n good.bt quantity is very less at the price.they're charging.either decrease some prices.else keep the prices.nd increase quantity of food.
Today we went to eva food truck and ordered dry soya chaap, which is way too expensive 16$ and even after paying that much what we got is only 100gm soya chaap only with capsicum and onion after waiting for 30mins. Poor quality and too expensive according to quantity. Hardly 4,5 cutted small pieces of soya chap.
Most of the products are a hit but there are a few misses.
The chole kulche was one of the best I’ve had. The kulcha was so soft and spongy, fell in love with it at the first bite.
The chaat products are okay to be honest. The tikki chaat was delicious but need chutney added to make take it to the next level. The dahi bhalla is something that I’ll probably not have again.
The momos are definitely a miss. Was left dissatisfied with the overall taste and the fillings but the chutneys were delicious.
The place has parking but it gets full pretty quickly. There is street parking in the near by lanes and the streets from this food truck.
I have tried couple of things from this place this last month before writing this review.
1) Chai - only order if you like bland, milky and ready-to-drink kind of flavour. They don’t have the authentic street style masala chai.
2) Noodle burger- good flavours but the bun was chewy and patty was overcooked
3) Saag and Makki ki roti- Now I was really looking forward to trying this out because cmon, who doesn’t like SAAG! But I was very disappointed. Like really really disappointed. The saag was watery, tasteless.just out of a tin basically.
4) Chole kulche- again the chole were watery and the quantity was okayish.
I don’t have crazy standards when it comes to street food because thats the whole point of it but I expect a certain amount of standard when I am spending $15-20 per dish.
I was fooled by the ratings. The food took almost 1 hour to be ready and tastes awful. Bland chole, disgusting bhalle. Would not suggest this place.
You can have a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Miss. Sonia is extremely knowledgeable and makes great recommendations.
Nice place to have yummy food. Serve size is pretty good and service is quick. Ideal place to go with family or group of friends, though beware that it's purely vegetarian. But you won't regret coming here. I tried noodle burger which was nice and reminded of India, though would have loved a little spice there. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!
Had sarso da saag with makki di roti, totally fabulous. Would recommend to anyone missing the taste of Punjab.
