Etto Pasta Bar - South Melbourne

Used to love Etto. Simple but good quality pizza. Rectangle shaped pizzas were a point of difference. Ordered a capriciosa and a margarita after not visiting for some time. Pizzas were now round. OK. Pizzas were now awful. Not OK. Toppings and cheese were piled on. Yuck. Base was thick, doughy and oily. Also yuck. Basically the same as you would get from any large commercial pizza chain. I know Etto is also a chain but something fundamental has changed here and the food is not the same.

Pasta was terrible. Ordered on Uber Eats. 40 minutes late. Missing parts of the order. The carbonara was inedible, went in the bin. Meatballs were good. Will not order again.

Pasta was cold and sauces were not good. We ate in and had the spicy Italian sausage pasta. It tasted like they had the ingredients sitting there cold and they just stirred it quickly with the tomato sauce and cooked pasta hoping the pasta heat would be enough to warm it up. (Probably explains why it came out so quickly). Resulted in sauce lacking flavor and dish being cold!

All time favourite. I like the previous menu more tho. But it’s alright. Nice pasta. Good coffee. Just like home cook pasta.

Fresh quality ingredients with fantastic sauces to match.

The pizza base are crisp and have the perfect bite to it. The topping is generous and being 12" it's the perfect size for a heavy meal or shared between 2 for a light meal.

Waited just over 25 mins for our order as they pumped out all the Uber Eats orders instead. Pasta definitely wasn't worth it.

Lovely good, plenty of variations of pasta and sauce. Yummy garlic bread. Unfortunately limited seating (only 3 2 seated small tables). But would recommend takeout if no seats available.

No sense of quality/value. $18 dollars for a pasta cooked in olive oil and spiced with a pack of dry oregano. Was extremely disappointed with this nothing to do with Italian pasta experience.

This is my regular pasta place on the weekdays, and I love it!

A lot of locals seem to like this place too because it is always busy with orders - I prefer to order online or over the phone to make pick up easy.

Took my wife here this arvi for her birthday lunch. Beautiful pasta really tastes like home and one of the best margarita pizzas ever!

This place is changing the way we think of pasta. Never had a bad meal here, the taste is always 100% on.

Receptionist was incredibly rude, dismissive, and our 3 serves of pasta took 1: 45 minutes. Terrible service, average meal!
