Eporo Dry Cleaner

Unfortunately I had a poor experience with Carlos, charging $450 for a wedding dress dry clean and removing a button from my dress which I only discovered on the day of my wedding, in addition one of my bridesmaids was charged $160 to have her dress altered and the front was uneven (which was denied by Carlos) and the button at the top was just moved. For such a large cost, I asked Carlos for at least a partial refund and after 3 emails over 1 month, Carlos ignored me. I also found when I raised any of these issues it was denied, rather than listened to.

I had a 10+ year old faded coat with bleach stains re-dyed black by Carlos, results speak for themselves in the pictures. I also had stains removed completely from a white shirt and suit. Quick and very friendly service.

Carlos did an amazing job getting a big ink stain out of my favourite grey leather jacket. It looks as good as new. He is also a legend. Thanks so much!

I have been using Emporo Drycleaners for ages and have been impressed with the quality and price of services for professional clothes and audits, prams and rugs. I recently got a well worn and weathered down jacket. This time I am genuinely surprised at how much better it has turned out. Not only is it a lot cleaner, it is a whole lot fluffier. Amazing. I had a traumatising experience with this dry cleaning service. They ruined one of my favourite scarves and the very first gift I received from my partner’s mom when she first came to Australia for a visit.

I tried to move on but it’s like a nightmare that comes back to haunt me from time to time. I cried for days after they completely ruined my scarf and even left a stupid print of their paper tag on my scarf. I think that’s pretty much how much attention they have put into an item which I clearly declared my affection towards and if they can’t do the job please be upfront and honest with me, which they weren’t.

They might have forgotten how their lack of caution, honesty and clear communication have cost me but I can’t. Besides all the incredible sentimental meaning of the scarf, it had also given me confidence and strength, and now I can’t even show off my scarf to anyone.

I’m very disappointed how they had handled it and followed up.

I really appreciate how much effort they have put into my silk scarf so I am giving them 4 stars. However, I am very angry and upset over the warning that they didn’t provide to me when I was dropping off my scarf for colour repairing.

I remembered asking several times if the process is going to ruin my scarf, making the scarf look worse and the answer they have given me was ‘we will try our best’.
From my understanding the potential risk was not addressed and now I got a scarf that’s completely ruined.

I only had a few light blue spots on my scarf when I was dropping it off, and now my whole forking scarf is blue and black. I am sorry for putting down this review but I am now looking at my completely unwearable scarf, I think I understand why they would have suggested me to ‘bleach it and make it black, so it would be wearable. ’

As well, my partner also dropped off a hat with its rim torn at the same time and after a week it is still as dirty as before, because they couldn’t find enough fabric to repair his hat.

I feel highly unsatisfied as I spent a week waiting for my scarf to be repaired and my partner looking forward to have his beloved hat fixed. By the end, we both got nothing out of the waiting and our expectations plummeted to the abyss.

I appreciate that they offered not to charge, however I think they did work on it, so we still paid for the service.

I just reviewed my scarf again and I am changing my review to 3 stars. I uploaded the picture as you all can see below. They literally let the ink from the tag dye my scarf, adding an additional 30 points to my anger level. This is very irresponsible! I am now not sure about the how much effort they actually put into repairing it.

It has been more than a year and I haven’t been able to find an identical scarf that I loved as much as the one ruined by them. It’s a traumatising experience I had there and I’m deciding to drop my review to one star.

These guys are miracle workers. I took a very mouldy school blazer in with not much hope that it could be cleaned. They returned it to me perfect! Clean, smelling nice and colour intact. This saved me hundreds of dollars. Many, many thanks!

Carlos worked so hard to get stains out of my t-shirt - it took 7 washes but he did it! No chemical smell and bright white clothes.

Carlos is a great bloke and the quality of his work, as
well as his advice on caring for different fabrics, is phenomenal.

Fantastic service and quality. I needed a last minute end of lease clean (incl.steam cleaning) for my apartment - Carlos came to the apartment to quote the job on the same day I called, then came in over the weekend to do the clean. The place was spotless, the bond was returned with no issues and he stuck to the quoted price. I couldn't be happier with the service, highly recommend!

I got 2 coats and 2 blazers done, including alterations for one of the blazers. They all came out looking beautiful and the altered blazer fits perfectly now. Carlos obviously takes great pride in his work.

Carlos is absolutely amazing. I have had nothing less than the very best experience here. Not only has the service been friendly and enjoyable but the quality of Carlos’ work cannot be faulted. I have trusted Carlos with very expensive garments that require the utmost care for alterations and have not been disappointed with his knowledge on the fabrics and how to alter and care for them in the best way. To top it all off, every time I have visited I have needed my garments altered in a rush and Carlos has had them completed with no worries and never made it seem to difficult or like it’s a hassle. I highly recommend Eporo, you won’t be disappointed.

I had $3,500 worth of Egyptian Cotton dress shirts all with horribly stained collars that had been sitting in my closet all year due to COVID-19 and I figured I'd get them dry cleaned before donating them to Salvos, but Carlos worked an absolute miracle! They came back immaculate! I've never seen anything like it. You won't find better customer service anywhere. Five stars doesn't even *begin* to describe Eporo Dry Cleaner!

Amazing service- could not recommend more! After getting tan all over a new white Zimmermann silk shirt I took it to Eporo Dry Cleaner in the hopes they could at least improve the appearance. To my surprise when I came to collect the shirt, it was pristine - all the tan was gone and it looked (and felt) brand new (with no chemical smell either). I could not be happier with the service and the outcome - Eporo Dry Cleaner worked what I thought was miracle!

Worst experience we have had. I would recommend you do not use this drycleaner. This guy did not listen and just kept trying to up sell us even when we politely declined. To add insult to injury the dress was not ready 2 weeks after the due date and then told us he'd been really busy even though he had the dress for 2 months. We don't want anyone else to have to put up with this incompetence.

I go to Carlos all the time and have been going here for years now. I love the price and quality of service, but most of all I love chatting to Carlos. He really cares about his work and his customers. He can also clean just about everything imaginable. Not just the usual things, like shirts and suits, but also leather goods and suede shoes. It’s friendly local businessmen like Carlos who make a neighbourhood.
