55Thank you for an amazing evening! The food was delicious, the white tablecloths were a lovely touch, and everything was superb. Such a fun evening. Great service from Andrew, Otis and the team.
Great room downstairs with big open fireplace. Fantastic food. Interesting menu, not your normal pub fare.
Our Mothers' Day lunch for 3 adults and a toddler in the downstairs dining room was fantastic! Great service and amazing food in front of a cozy open fire. We will be back!
I recently visited the Empire Hotel in Beechworth with my two children, and I have to say we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We ordered the kid's burgers with chips and coconut prawns, and we were blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. The kid's burgers were huge and came with generous portions of fries, and the coconut prawns were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The service at the Empire Hotel was also outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend the Empire Hotel to anyone looking for a delicious meal and exceptional service in Beechworth.
In addition to the amazing food and excellent service, I also loved the cosy fire at the Empire Hotel. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The toilets were also clean and hygienic, which is always a plus when dining out. Overall, the Empire Hotel in Beechworth exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to visit again soon. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the area looking for a great meal, cozy ambiance, and top-notch service.
We will definitely be returning on our next visit!
Dinner downstairs is a stunning room and we cannot recommend highly enough - absolutely BEAUTIFUL FOOD, wish we could have stayed to go for dinner another night, but will DEFS be returning on our next visit to Beechworth. AMAZING SERVICE. AMAZING FOOD.
7 of us had dinner here for my wife's 60th over the ANZAC Day long weekend.
The service was terrific and the food was really great.
My wife and I had lunch there, the service was very good and the staff were very professional and friendly, the food was also very nice and the atmosphere was cosy and calm
Really top class service and food in an enjoyable atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the curry. The flavours were so amazing and so we will definitely be back again for another dinner! Thanks!
Staff were friendly, but that was the only positive of our visit. We spent $135 between 2 people on extremely subpar service and food. The entrees were super small portions, and we waited over 90 minutes for our mains. When they came, the steak was overdone and the trout was under, to the point of being inedible as it had the consistency of firm jelly. I'm from an area of the world where seafood is our primary food and that is not how you cook a trout. It was my partner's birthday and we were at a loss for words at how terrible this experience was. I actually wish we asked for a partial refund after the 60min mark so that we could have had a proper meal tonight.
Kids and adults were very happy with their lunch! Excellent service and exceptional food. Delicious!
Had to wait for 45mins for chips. Wouldn’t mind waiting for food but chips should come fast they don’t take long. Otherwise, the ambiance and drinks were amazing.
Great atmosphere, very welcoming, great service. Recommend a visit and food was incredible
Food was quite nice, but rather slow (45 minute wait) and overpriced ($18 for a share plate equal to about 70% of a meal for one) Nice views from the balcony and personable service but for a location which must surely be used to roadtrippers, the wait was a big factor, especially on a relatively quiet Wednesday night.
You are definitely going to love the amazing food atmosphere drinks menu and the amazing hosts. Just love it.
The Empire Hotel is a gem hidden in Beechworth.
The downstairs dining room is full of style & class. This extends to the meals produced & a good range of local wines. The staff are attentive & knowledgeable. Must be the best dining location in town
Amazing!
Food is phenomenal. Staff were amazingly attentive and went above and beyond. The wine list showcases quality wines and the cocktails are top notch. This place was faultless. Our only problem was that we hadn’t visited sooner! This place will become our regular.
Excellent food. Excellent staff. Best evening for some self professed fussy people. Hosts very friendly and welcoming.
Great modern pub. Classy and welcoming. Great wine list, food and modern pub decor. Great verandah upstairs looking over the town.
The food was good, quite a small menu which is a great idea. The quail starter was delicious. Nice wine list. Fantastic staff. It was a little noisy but that’s because the diners were of the shouty variety, certainly not the restaurant’s fault!
The experience we had at the Empire Hotel was my favourite of all the places we went while in Beechworth.
The venue is very fun and very rowdy, I liked that you could go for a really chill meal, or have a more upscale meal. The staff were quite funny actually, by the point in the night we were there they had certainly gotten a bit jolly - but I absolutely loved it. They had some good chats with us, went above and beyond and provided some (possibly) unintentionally entertainment.
The food was really good, like truly took me by surprise. Everyone on the table enjoyed what they ordered and we all left very full. They also had some vegan and vego options!
I would recommend the Empire Hotel to anyone travelling to Beechworth, even if it’s just for a drink or a bowl of chips. We had a great time and I am sure you will too!
