We love this restaurant. It's a special occasion place for us and we love it. The food, the staff, the atmosphere. 10 out of 10.

Just walking into this building was beautifully attired, the entrance set off with a grand asending staircase and gorgeous fountain in the middle.

The beauty of this restaurant, apart from its food. Is how everyone is greeted and looked after. The staff showed respect and kindness and were happy to assist.
For me, when dining out, the most important thing is how you are treated first, as it sets the tone, atmosphere, and appreciation for what is to follow. Having said that, showing appreciation and respect back to the staff also helps with a great outcome to an evening.
Do I plan on going back, absolutely

This was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. For the qaulity was great value. The sauce was outstanding. Meat was tender, vegetables cooked perfectly and nice variety. The lemon souffle was a nice way to finish.again cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.

I am astounded. The squid was highly processed boxed food you buy from Aldi (I am not exaggerating) The beef cheek had the maggi packet mix taste, as did the wedges served with the steak. The eye fillet was tough and the red wine jus also had the salty powdered stock flavor. The pesto bread was a cheap white bread roll with pesto filling. We decided against dessert because we were so disappointed with the mass manufactured food. We ate here about 3 or 4 years ago and it was great. We were so shocked tonight. Unfortunately not recommended.

Loved this restaurant. The menu, ambience and service took me back to years ago with silver service. So enjoyed taking my relatives. Everyone enjoyed their evening and commented on how excellent the food and staff were.

Nicky, our hostess, was sensational! All the staff were great, very attentive. The ambiance is charming and although there were other patrons, it still felt intimate and cozy. The food was decadent, the Pineapple and coconut salsa which came with the pork belly was an explosion of wonderful fresh flavours.

The eye fillet was cooked perfectly, the chips were crispy and the mushroom sauce was divine.

A must try is the tortellini, so fresh and light and full of flavour.

The chicken breast was perfect, the filling I believe contained tarragon so if you don't like it's strong flavour maybe not for you, but I loved

Overall a wonderful dining experience, an absolute must try. I can't wait to come back.

Staff were very friendly & attentive. The food was so underwhelming. Kids fish said battered but was crumbed and looked like it was cooked in dirty oil, kids grilled chicken was so dry. Kids ice cream looked like it had been refrozen a few times our 3year old boy didn’t eat it. The entree ravioli was lukewarm and the steak was undercooked. The chicken was very tasty, could have been hotter. $40+ for a main I would expected fresh cracked pepper, not sachets. Wine list was good overall very disappointed with our experience here.

We've been coming here sporadically for 15 years now. Lunch and dinner - always exquisite. Good food, good service. Always.

We had been keen to dine here having heard great reports about the food, albeit on the pricey side. Sad to say it didn't live up to expectations. Service was extremely good with friendly and attentive staff. The food was pretty average. Calamari looked and tasted like it had been cooked from a frozen packet. Steaks were ok, one of our party ordered rare but it was wasn't. Green beans looked a bit the worse for wear and the fish of the day was pretty dry and underwhelming. I know this is at odds with other reviews but all of us were disappointed and expected more. The chocolate mousse was nice once you managed to get through the gelatinous stuff covering it which again seemed like something that had been brought in and not prepared in the kitchen. We did find the presentation of the salt and pepper funny, paper sachets like McDonald's, but again not what we expected from a restaurant with the reputation Empire Grill has

Service was second to none with the lovely Nicky looking after us. Her menu knowledge was faultless, as was her friendly and professional serving. She made our birthday dinner more special, thanks Nicky. Food was delicious! Cocktails were good. Thanks again for a special night out.

Last night eight of us enjoyed the five course degustation experience at Empire Grill. The food was absolutely delicious and the matching wines with each course were perfect. Nicky and the staff provided impeccable service. We were lucky enough to be seated in the private room which made the experience even more special. We will definitely be back again. I can't recommend the E. G.enough.

By far the best dining experience in Geelong. From time you are greeted as you walk in the staff are amazing. The food is just amazing.

Tried and true. Favourite of mine in Geelong needs probably a couple of new dishes too stay in the game.
