Staff were extremely welcoming and at hand to help out with anything needed. I hired gear from here and was fitted well and quickly. Definitely recommend coming here for all your gear and worth coming from afar if you have to. 5/5 Very satisfied.

Extremely poor customer experience - won’t rent from here again! When we came to book the gear they quoted for 2 days weekend rate and that was written & confirmed in our booking sheet.

When we came to pick up the gear on our way to the mountains (no time to change plans) they said there was an error on their part and will have to charge us an extra day. On top of this their packed bag did not contain a snow gear we had paid for (lucky we checked before leaving the store). Considering all this it would have been cheaper and better experience to rent at the mountains itself.

I worked here when I was 16, I was fascinated by Doug’s incredible knowledge and all the time spent making sure new ski boots are ready to go and you know all about the gear you’re buying.

11 years on, I won’t buy new skis or equipment anywhere else in Aus unless I need climbing gear. I am an outdoor Ed teacher and i still use the same hiking pack that Doug sold me in 2011. Fits so well.

I was fitted with a pair of hiking boots and a few pairs of socks and some other accessories on recommendation by Doug. After 10 days of walking-in my boots I finally feel ready and comfortable in them to hit the overland track in Tassie (which I begin next week). Thank you team EMC. Great to have someone with local knowledge and expertise to speak to before taking on a outdoor adventure.

If you're looking for snow/ski/outdoor gear from folks who really care about setting you up success then this is the place to go. They take the time to understand your needs rather than just a quick sell. They also sell cross-country ski gear, which is hard to find these days.

We travel from Brisbane for the quality of their service and advice.
Mitch showed infinite patience with me and my weird fit.

Fair prices and good quality equipment for rental, but we had the best customer experience with a young lady (sorry, don't know her name but might be the daughter of the owner/manager) who is helping with boot fitting and equipment. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and patient, and more interested in providing the best advice than selling. 5 stars service and she understood it all, as not only we will come back, but we will talk about it.

Disappointed. Used to go to EMC before for all 'ski needs'. Called and asked regarding ski hire. Dropped in only to be told nothing is left and that they are over-booked.

Doug & the EMC team are my go to everything. They’re the experts and they care about their community. Recently bought a new pair of boots, had them heat moulded and adjusted again before heading up the mountain and they’re like slippers. So comfortable. A huge help given every other pair resulted in calf cramps. Life changing and I can’t find the words to thank you enough.

Very BAD shopping experience! The staff seems very impatient to let my kids try on the goggles. He told me there are nothing to fit even if My kids haven’t try anything yet. Impolite language. Never go there again!
