Had the most amazing dinner tonight, food was amazing, the staff were fantastic, highly recommend. Will definitely be going back

Ordered a take away order and got the wrong food. Took 40 mins to get the right order. Not a happy chappy and angry pregnant wife

Loved our evening out eating great food in the friendly atmosphere. The Lamb Barbacoa was the dish of the night but the Pollo mexicano was a close second. Churros with caramel to finish the night off was just what we wanted. A recommended place to eat for anyone.

The food was good - there was a variety of healthy choices and I definitely prefer quinoa to rice. Really liked the fish tacos, but the prawn ones had 3 tiny prawns so wasn't exactly 'wow'. My company enjoyed the burritos and the whole family really enjoyed their meal. The surroundings are great, really cheerful and bright. We went on a Tuesday night and it was really busy - every table full, so a great cheery atmosphere.

Quality food aside, El Santo is just straight up fun. We had a great time and the staff were fantastic because of their service and recommendations. Fish taco, eggplant taco, and habenero shot were highlights for me.

Absolutely yummy food! It's not drowned in sauce and cheese. The burritos are tops! The staff are lovely but can be forgetful at times.

Incredible food and celiac safe! Special thanks to Andrew who took my phone order and when I mentioned my partner and I are celiac he was so accomodating and explained all the gluten free options! Couldn’t recommend more, lovely staff and great authentic Mexican food x

Aside from the excellent food and lively fit out of the restaurant, the BEST of El Santo Mexican was the exceptional team and amazing service. We had a booking of 24 people and our waiter, Sophia, was incredibly friendly, attentive and a total superstar. The whole team were great and they really seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves. We are all still talking about our awesome experience the next day so obviously we can’t wait to be back! Thank you again?

Went there at 9pm Saturday night- the girls were overwhelmed and struggled to manage guests and orders. I was with my son and had to remind them to put the order through. Food was tasty (we had tacos) but they would have done better with side of a slice of lemon and sprinkle of chilli. No gauc with kids nachos- plain melted cheese on chips. I may go there on a weeknight and try it again.

This place is always amazing. The margaritas are fantastic. The food is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and always go above and beyond.

Since this restaurant changed management it is much better! The atmosphere is great and the cocktails are awesome. Also the staff are really lovely and the waitress took my allergy seriously. The food is quite nice and there are quite a few gluten free options as well. Only reason for 4 stars is the food is a little bit expensive for what you get, in my opinion. Would recommend for a nice dinner out!

Nice environment, drinks and customer service was good, was busy at time which is bonus because it added to the authentic Mexican vibe. Food itself was ok, not best, got the feed me option. Would have given 4 star if I got free sombrero, love free sombreros. Taco bill do free sombreros thats why they have 4 star even though there food is trash.

Great mexican that's still fresh and able to distinguish flavours (rather than a sloppy mess). Ordered the zucchini, grilled eggplant and fish taco - as both the zucchini and fish were crumbed, it served as a good texture contrast to the slaw/pico de gallo. Personally, I would have liked just a little toasting on the tortillas, but the flavour was still good. Churros were lovely and the caramel sauce was perfection!

We had a table of five, four of us decided to have the Chef's Choice, two with seafood and two without. The fifth person had a beef burrito which was huge and delicious, filled with shredded beef, black beans, rice and corn. I lost count of the courses, must have been around 7 or 8. The last few we're single taco serves with various fillings. There was roasted corn covered in freshly grated parmesan cheese and giant fried chicken wings. For those who enjoy some spice, there was z selection of hot sauces available rated from 1 to 7.

El Santo was a pleasure to dine at. The staff were wonderful and attentive, and the $50 "FEED ME" option was a brilliant choice for everyone at the table.

The only changes would be to have a bit more lighting the in back dining area (it got quite dark and tea lights don't cut it) and having all round cheaper drinks, with a pasta or glass straw that would be better than going through multiple paper ones over a meal.

My partner and I were waiting for the doors to open at 5.30pm tonight and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, happy and added to the experience. The food and drink all tasted amazing and fresh. Can’t fault any moment of our experience, other than we had to drive home from Geelong with a full stomach! Can’t wait to come back
