El Camino Cantina Fitzroy reviews
44The drinks served by Karen were great tasting! The service she provided was fast and the food we ordered tonight was good. Can't wait to come back again
We had an amazing experience. Karen was looking after us and her costumer service was outstanding.
Great food, great staff, great drinks and vibes. You can’t miss this place for an absolutely amazing time!
Love the vibe of the place. They’ve also got some lovely staff out here. Would recommend 10/10. Grape nerd and tacos were
One of the best bars in Melbourne. The food is exceptionally good especially their tacos and nachos. I loved their drinks too! The atmosphere and ambience is so much fun and the staff is sooo sweet! Definitely coming back for more:)
For my first experience I’ll say the customer service was 10/10 but I didn’t really like the food.
What a disappointment. There was approximately 30 of us in a group for a bottomless brunch. It was advertised as $89 for awhole lot of food and alcohol drink (I have posted there advertisement of the bottomless brunch) even tho there wasn’t much people in the restaurant, they still took forever to bring out, drinks, food, etc and several tables in our group missed out on food. After repeated request of changing the meal from pork to beef which was approximately 20 mins. They came back and gave me another dish of pork saying it was beef. Lucky I know what pork looks like. I had asked for table water and didn’t receive it. It the package it stated you would get dip such as sour cream, rice beans, etc did not see anyone receive these foods.
At the end, they brought out the deserts of churro. Approximately 4-5 plates came out however my table did not receive any.
Once we went to pay. We vocalised our dissatisfaction and disappointment of the meals, orders, no churros, etc and yet we had to pay another 10% surcharge for SUNDAY. So in total we paid $97 for literally something that did not fill you up. I was not drinking as I was driving and felt it was a waste of money. $97 for alcohol beverages, chicken, capsicum, onion and tortilla.
This was false advertised. There was nothing mentioned for Sunday surcharge at all and didn’t get half of the foods mentioned in the flyer.
WHAT WE DID NOT RECIEVE;
- shredded iceberg
- red rice
- black beans
- sour cream
- cheese
- churros
What a disappointment and waste of money.
$2 taco Tuesday isn't really $2 taco Tuesday as you get only a couple of tacos at $2 while the others are $4 etc when you buy a drink. Good thing is you can buy a soft drink if you don't drink alcohol. According to the menu though beers like Corona were out of stock. Food seemed to be made more commercially as it lacked that authentic taste. Brisket taco was good though.
This is my first time at El Camino. Excellent place to spend time with my friends, friendly staff, yummy food! I can't ask anymore than that. I love the QR code order at the table, it is so convenient to order the food. Music was good as well, 90s 2000s hip hop and R&B music on the night I was there!
Visited here for my friend’s birthday celebration and was keen to see what it’s all about after seeing so much hype about it. I can confirm it’s a vibrant and fun venue!
Very quick service, and easy ordering system via a QR code for the table. The food was great, and drinks even better with quite the variety to choose from.
Finally, the staff were friendly and accomodating to the needs of our group. Would definitely visit again in the near future.
Awesome place to go with friends and have some drinks and tacos, I recommend the chicken burrito.
The food needs to be served at a hotter temperature! Music is so loud you have to shout so the people you're with can hear you. Probably wouldn't rush to go back.
This place definitely lived up to my expectations! The decor, the vibe, and the songs were just *chef kiss*. Giant shoutout to Pav from your wait staff who went above and beyond to make sure me and my friends were well taken care of. His personality and very positive aura definitely made our night better. The food was timely and very aesthetically presented. All in all, it is a great place and we are definitely coming back again!
We had Ella and she gave us such amazing service will definitely be back because of her! Drinks deals are amazing!
Drinks took a while due to a technical glitch, but as soon as the waitstaff asked us about it and found out, they got our drinks straight away. Super lovely staff, in particular Lachlan Spencer, who has really cute hair.
Free hats, free chips, a great time
Overpriced food and watered down drinks. False advertising on Margaritas, and reduced ingredients on whatever special is on that day. Go to a real Mexican place and not this travesty.
Where do I start!? If I can give 0 stars I would.
I came for a tex mex birthday ($89) that had a menu outlining what was expected.
For context, this was a Sunday? We were a party of 33 and there was 4 staff working.
We started with buffalo wings, corn chips, diy tacos that said it would come out with red beans, rice etc which we didn't get.the last part of the menu said we would get churros.only 1 table out of 6 tables got them.
The people and I were extremely furious and went up to finally pay. This is the worst part of it all.the guy at the counter turns around and says that the total will be $97 due to a 10% surcharge. WHERE ON THE TEX MEX FLYER DOES IT STATE A 10% SURCHARGE? That clearly is false advertising.
To conclude DO NOT waste your money on a tex mex banquet. It is such a waste of money and definitely not worth it.
I am so disappointed and hope no one else EVER experiences this.
We dined with 5 people in total on a very busy Friday night. Unfortunately every interaction with the staff was really unpleasant especially the hostesses seating you.
The music although terrific was very loud that you couldn’t hear people on the same table as you and the food took over 50 mins to arrive.
The only saving grace was one waiter who was really great in assisting with food allergies with the kitchen.
Wouldn’t recommend this venue based on staff attitude
Tacos. Tacos. Tacos!
Really good tacos. Flavours are great and the selection is pretty darn good.
The cocktails are not bad either, with a good selection on the menu, threats something to please everyone.
Music is loud and my old man ears couldn't hear the conversation very well, but we got by and had a fairly enjoyable dinner.
The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly and attentive. Wendy was always aware of us, we will come back again.
