Nice place to get your gifts. Only issue is they want customers to ask for the price matching on games. So do your research on their competitors price and ask for a price matching as you will save some.

If I could give zero stars I would. Despite this being a national company, I am apparently unable to cancel an order and receive a refund over the phone. It is completely ridiculous that I now must go attend the store so that they can do it there. Any other company allows refunds over the phone. The fact that this is not possible with EB is unacceptable. Never mind that the order was for a PS5 pre-order made in September 2020. It seems that EB allowed unlimited pre-orders and is nowhere NEAR catching up to fulfilling these orders. I was able to pre-order in store from JB (Hoppers Crossing) on Tuesday and have received my order today. I will NEVER be using EB Games or their subsidiaries again. Completely unprofessional.

I got there early to do some game trade in and the staff were friendly and patience with my many questions. They were efficient with the process but could do with one more staff to direct the flow of the store given the current situation. And with the launch of the next gen console and the Christmas season around the corner, they could only get busier.

Decent selection of games - there's usually a wait if you want popular items (they're always sold out for some reason).

Buying online or having a look and calling up before you head out is ideal. Shop assistants are very helpful and welcoming though - so definite props to that!

Awful and unhelpful service today. Specifically from "Lewis" and "Serena". Came in after receiving a broken item online, and tried to see what our options were. Apart from the fact they seemed almost insulted by the fact they had to serve customers, the short, portly dude initially tried to claim we weren't able to get a refund on the online order /at all/. And that we had to find something else to swap it over for.
Unable to find anything to swap it over for, we pushed for a refund again. We finally discovered we actually /could/ get a refund. But it also "wasn't his problem", "Maybe you should have read the terms and conditions" he says apathetically. He brushed us off, telling us it was our problem- and 'afterpays'. He claimed we needed to contact afterpay. However, that's not true. Afterpay clearly states it's between the retailer and the customer.
Finally after the back and forth, the second person working managed to look off her phone for one moment, and chime in that we actually had to contact EB head office and return it ourself.
I'm genuinely shocked an EB outlet won't accept a broken item they sold, or any return. We were shown no sympathy that the item we received was broken, wasting time and effort. How are these things not tested and checked before being sold? Not only this but the refund process is clearly designed without the consumers best interest.
I might add that I usually shop at the Docklands store, and the staff there are incredible. But unfortunately, no good service can outdo a horrible one. I think I'll stick to Target, Big W, JB HI FI (Cheaper items, significantly better return policies).

Unless you have a deal that they can price match, otherwise all products and games are way overpriced.i would do some homework before i purchase anything at EB

Very bad service we went to the shop to buy a Logitech g502 hero and the price was different from the website so we bought it from the website and we waited 45 minutes to pick it up. After waiting that long they tel us they have no more in stock. We cancel the order and refund you or you can go another store. My kid is really upset.

Best place for all your gaming needs and everything the stuff are really awesome to talk to they will help you with anything

District manager is super unprofessional and ensures to waste people's time after providing concise instructions and to still turn it down, after the fact. Last time I'll deal with this place online or instore. Useless.

Love EBs, this one seems to have less on offer than other stores though. Service here is fast and friendly.

Nice and helpful staff. Tried best to find my item but was not in stock. Provided me an alternative source.

Probably one of the better EB games in the state, they price match as it is not clearance, great and friendly staff, bigger range and gets some exclusive midnight launches.

Second person is Birdy (or bridy not sure) you’re so passionate about games and are really helpful. Ahah sorry about my dumb friend tho.but all in all I love going to eb games even when I’m not buying games or headsets. Just amazing atmosphere. Thank you

I recently went there and got a new game. I called ahead as i was trading in some other games and wanted to know how much I could get for the games I was trading in. The employee who was on the phone was very efficient and knew what he was doing and he also grabbed a copy of the game for me and put it aside.
I ended up getting more trade in value than the guy estimated and i was very happy with the service.

Great store. Been coming here for all my life basically. Staff have always been great and have provided great service, they always price match too. If you ever need anything, the staff are always there to help.

Chirstmas time just came and went, and i can tell you my kids made sure I contributed to the friendlu staffs xmas bonuses!
And i can tell you straight away they earned it! They always go above and beyond. Thanks guys!
The store is clean and well organised, pirces are to be expected, trade-ins and preowned, has it all!

I feel it has great sales well it has a sale all time the staff is very nice and helpful although buying one of the new consoles can be a bit pricey but it will probably change over time over this is the best Game store and I will always buy my games from eb games and they will always have my full faith in them so that's my review
