I adored my meal, could not fault it. The service was really lovely, the staff made sure to keep us up to date on our drinks. The steak I got was cooked to perfection and the red wine sauce paired perfectly with the steak.

I have frequented this venue on multiple occasions without a hiccup, as previously reviewed. Tonight though I found a hair in my meal- the staff did get the chef to prepare a fresh meal, but it came out and my partner had already finished her meal. This ruined the romantic date night we had planned, the second meal only had the steak and truffle mashed potato- having to ask the staff if I could have gravy like in the menu. The second steak was delightful, very tasty. The romantic date night had just been completely removed by my partner trying to stretch out her meal until mine arrived and we could eat together, the hair and then not having any items discounted or anything - the wine nor the food or offered any sort of compensation for their mistake. Usually a lovely meal- lack of service tonight. No wine tasting offered when purchasing an entire bottle like usual either.

Dyers is a Ballarat institution having been around since 1972! Went there with friends for dinner and it was very enjoyable. Service was great. Professional, friendly and unobtrusive. Food is of a high quality well cooked and enjoyable. Steaks are great, cooked perfectly to how you like it. Steaks come with preset vegetables which whilst ok could do with an update! Good selection of sauces available. Bottom line is that you get a very good meal with excellent service. If you’re after steak in Ballarat it should be on your list.

Great meal last night best steak ever great service even though the normal chef was away sick the owner can and talked to us to make sure we were happy. Fantastic attention to us. Thank you

Our table of 6 were all wrapped with their selections (mostly the Special).
Service was excellent and again food rocked!

The steak was incredible but it wasn't really value for money. The garlic prawns starter was okay. An expensive meal with a very noisy atmosphere.

We had an excellent meal for a birthday celebration, fabulous food and exceptional service.

Wasn't keen on being told that the chef doesn't like doing a well done steak when I am the customer who is paying for what I would like.

Beautiful 70's type intimate dining atmosphere, incredible food cooked with care and an understanding of subtle flavours. Wait staff are so friendly and courteous. Would recommend to anyone wanting an amazing dining experience in Ballarat.

Very much enjoyed or visit to Dyers. Prompt service by attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful steak cooked to perfection. As a little bit of polite feedback tho, I found the scallops in the seafood sauce to be non genuine.something of a scallop substitute. And there were only two so perhaps this could be improved apon. Otherwise, great job team.

Fine dining in a small but elegant dining room. All courses were exceptional as well as an impressive wine list. Will be back.

Says open until 9 but kitchen closes at 7 30, the steak is usually good though just very unfortunate this time

Great service - some of the best I can remember getting. The serving sizes were large - I could have gotten by on just the entre. My steak was cooked perfectly. The only thing that I can think of that could be improved, was that it was a little hot in the upstairs dining area. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing food. Cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly, and happy. We had a new staff member and she was honest with all the information she didn’t know yet. Will definitely be heading back.

Had the most amazing dinner at this intimate restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is exquisite and the service was second to none. I will be back to try further dishes and enjoy the experience that is Dyers.
