Dumpling Chef reviews
41Taste less cheap quality frozen food! Don't fall for the crowd puller Chinese girl at the door.
Yuk! We were six, none of good at least a OK food. Dont fall for the lady holding menu try to pull you inside. Disgusting!
I wasn’t actually super keen on the flavour of the Xiao Long Bao but the Chicken and Fish Salted Noodles were lovely and service was great
Wonderful restaurant! The food tastes great and the staff is always friendly! Service is quick and its good to both eat in or take-away
Never been to the physical store, only gotten take away but I can no longer eat here because of the lack of allergen menu
The service here was lovely and the food was equally as lovely! Great spot to go on a Sunday night if you’re craving some Chinese food
Very delicious food, even better atmosphere I was here with my friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I don’t know why this place only has 3 stars, it’s superb by food court standards. I had a roast pork soup, the broth was flavourful, pork was plentiful and the noodles were springy. 100% will eat here again.
The chicken and beef dumplings were delicious. I especially enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls.
Worst lunch ever! I've eaten alot of asian foods before and never had any so bland and oily like this before. I ordered the salt and pepper calmari and received frozen rings. Disgusting definitely won't be back.
Worst food ever. For starters they made you feel unwelcome. Food was served with plastic plates and cutlery.
Had a spring onion pancake they was so hard I got a sore jaw from chewing it as it must have been sitting there for ages.
The honey chicken was the worst I’ve ever had, deep fried rubbish, it was so bad that my partner even refused to take the left overs home for the dog.
Do not waste your time or money going there.
Save yourself the time and trouble don’t bother coming here, the food is totally disgusting… never, ever never …. Disgusting
The place is beautifully located near the stairs and the staff is wonderful. They have two restaurants in the area but I prefer this one as they make wonderful Mapu Tofu for me everytime I visit.
It has the kick of the Sichuan chilly in the right quantity and leaves that feeling on your tongue.
The staff is very attentive and tables are cleaned as soon as a customer leaves. This makes it very inviting for the oncoming foot traffic in the zone.
Ordered beef pan fried dumplings and when I got them they where barely cooked and had only slight traced of the golden brown crunchy coating you'd expect, not to mention the beef looked barely cooked lucky I didn't get pork. The honey chucked was drier than expected with barely any honey taste at all except for the 4mm of sauce at the bottom of the container. If you're looking for a decent Chinese place this isn't it
Ordered takeaway dinner. Very costly, chicken was dry and stringy, Dumplings weren’t filled adequately. Never going back
Started off well until a staff member started cutting her finger nails in the kitchen. I was sitting down eating a soup only to hear the noise a nail cutter makes when trimming finger nails. I got up to see if this was what I thought I was hearing and it was. I was so disgusted I commented on how unhygienic this is, how gross this is and collected my things, couldn’t stomach another mouthful and left. Seriously, the rules for commercial kitchens are so strict that this should warrant a visit from the health department. Not on.
Wish I read the reviews before taking a chance here. The food is predictably bad. It isn’t likely per chance either. This simply isn’t how Chinese food is supposed to be cooked. The dumplings were poorly wrapped with bad fillings. Kungpow chicken is supposed to be lightly fried in texture, not this soggy uncoated white mess… I think if you don’t know or don’t care what decent Chinese food is supposed to taste like, you would be quite happy here. The overall taste is acceptable. But if know how it should be, you would be very disappointed because what you think you are ordering isn’t how it will turn out to be.
Food was okay but horrible customer service. Workers were so rude and when I tried to approach one, walked away immediately without even letting me speak for a minute. So disrespectful. Highly recommend you not sitting and eating here.
Delicious vegetarian dumplings! Fast and easy customer service but they can be a bit rude and distant. Great food 10/10 tho.
Very rude staff, all cutlery is plastic even the plates and cups. No table service we had to get up and order everything (even had to walk for salt, soy sauce and serviettes)
Won’t be coming back here
