Dragon King Chinese Restaurant reviews
29I ordered special fried rice and stay chicken. I found on this occasion the food was of a very low standard. The rice was gluggy and hardly anything in it other than terrible rice. Very slim pickings on other ingredients. The stay chicken was a watery bland dish. Both were piping hot but that was the best thing about them. Sorry Dragon King but you have lost me! Was also initially overcharged but when I raised this they did refund me.
Ordered Honey chicken, plain rice and special fried rice and everything was dry and tasted stale. The fried rice was also very sparse on ingredients, also the bag of complimentary prawn crackers were stale. Will never get food from there again, everything was horrible!
EAT AT OWN RISK. REALLY DISAPPOINTED AND CONERNED.
Food tasted off and tasteless. Not up to its usual standards. We have been repeat customers for many years without any problems. Tonight however changed that. When we called to express our concerns, we were dismissed. When we asked for a refund the guy who answered to phone said no, i asked for the manager he said oh he just left. I said i want a refund, we spent enough and its not eatable. He told us to bring it back. My son took it back, the manager, chef, person behind the desk said you have eaten some so we will give u half of what you paid back. They then looked at what was remaing as my son heard them say, we can rescue this, and that. Thats a health violation. I wonder if the food we got had been someone elses that had been returned? The meat tasted not right, the rice like it was days old. The health inspectors need to investigate. After speaking to others we knew who had eaten there, they too reported food being off.
THEY WERE HAPPY NOT TO HAVE US BE RETURN CUSTOMERS AND FOR US TO TELL OTHERS NOT TO EAT THERE. THIS WAS AFTER EXPRESSING OUR CONCERNS AND BEFORE WE REQUESTED A REFUND. A TAD CONCERNING
Bland Chinese food. The lemon chicken was soggy and the fried rice lacked any flavour or seasoning. I would stay away.
We've recently moved in locally. Went here for lunch. Not another soul dining, which is at least an amber flag for us. Had to almost walk into the kitchen to get someone to notice us. Was asked to sit at a two person table. When I said we'd like to sit at a bigger table to spread out, we got a firm NO. Attitude by this man, or what? We left. Didn't eat there. It's a pity, as we can walk there with a bottle of wine, etc. I'll keep an eye on future reviews. Not intending to go back atm.
I usually don’t bother to write reviews but this was really terrible Chinese food. Inedible and undercooked.
We just brought food from this place an l never ever buy from there again it was so salty we had to throw it in bin
What a shame such a great place had to get sold and now it is terrible. I have been a customer for over 20 years and I cant remember a bad meal ever. But 12 months ago the long term family owners sold the business and the new owners have completely ruined it. I have ordered 4 times over the last 12 months and it gets worst everytime and I will not go back again. Food quality has gone from 9.5 12 months ago to barely a 2 and my wife's meal was so bad she refused to even eat it. (Not to mention she order vegitarian and got chicken pieces in it). I predict it will be sold again (Very Cheap) soon, because there is no way such a thriving business that always had the best chinese food will surive with what the new owners are serving up.
Ordered the Singapore noodles and chicken satay. The quality of meat was very low. Processed and old and chewy.
$58 for takeaway - 1 large fried rice sweet sour pork and lemon chicken. (Facebook menu prices is totally different from what is charged!)
Very disappointing - the quality was over cooked fried dishes and bland tasteless fried rice so so disappointed with tonight and will not return. (We haven’t ordered takeaway for a long time - and gutted that trying to support local was like this …)
Take away was amazing, delivered hot and tasted fantastic. Definately will return for more.
To say this was bland would still be an understatement.
Special fried rice is steamed rice with carrot… not so special.
Been noodles had no flavour, just so we’re clear, not a little flavour… no flavour.
Curry puffs were an oily mess.
The only saving grace were the spring rolls. They weren’t great, hell I’ve cooked better in the oven at home, it’s just they weren’t as shi t as the rest of the meal
I had been going to this restaurant for 25 years until we encountered the very rude new owners. We asked to pay separately and one of the owners rolled his eyes to the other one, and yes in front of us.
The food used to be good, but it was awful, never going back again.
Absolutely amazing Chinese! Have not had tasty Chinese like this in a very long time. We now go here regularly. Staff are lovely and go over and beyond. Dining is experience was great and made the kids feel important. Food some reason tastes amazing when dining in Straight out of the kitchen steaming hot! Highly recommend the curry chicken and the duck dish! New favourite!
Great place to eat with the Wife
After a hard days work. Staff are very polite and helpful the menu is amazing with lots to choose from at very affordable prices.
Disappointing experience. 1 star for timely service.
Minimal flavours in food, 1 mushroom and 2 pieces of tofu in a Veg dish, 3 small chicken pieces in a Noodles dishes. Prices reflect neither the quantity nor quality.not worth at all!
Honestly the worst Singapore noodles I’ve ever had. No flavour, Smallest amount of meat ever, veggies weren’t even chopped up properly. Disgraceful to be honest. New owners have ruined the joint unfortunately. Will be finding another Chinese place from now on
Delicious food. I read all the reviews I didn’t care about the decor because it is about flavour.very nice
I felt a little over priced though but the food was good.fresh and yummy prawns
The soup was overpriced at $9 for a very small bowl
Disappointed, must be new owners. Wouldn't do dietries changes that we have Always done. Will be finding a new Chinese takeaway
I would give you 0 but that's not an option. You didn't make my food after a 40 min wait what a joke of a place
