Dragon Hot Pot一麻一辣 Caulfield east reviews
30Most of the staff can’t be bothered being friendly to start with. Food was below average, their signature broth doesn’t taste like anything special. Some instant noodles taste better than that!
I found a worm in my soup and when I asked the staff to check with their manager
They offered me a can of coke to compensate!
Shocked
After eating last night, I had diarrhea and vomiting this morning. Although my boyfriend didn't vomit after eating it, he had diarrhea three times.
My local favorite place to be, especially on rainy days. Here you can enjoy a good hot pot of your choice. A really busy place, but still a good customer service and nice environment. Give it a try, and you gonna like it
Quick and easy. Tasty and served our purpose for wanting hot meaty soup without the fuss of cooking everything ourselves at the regular hotpot restaurant. Lots of options. Perfect for cold weather.
Poor customer service, staff only mind their own business and ignore customer.
If there is a zero star I definitely will give zero.
Not recommend this place.
Regular customers for over 2 years. Hadn't been in for a month as we had been away, came in tonight and had the worst experience! Arrived at 9: 30pm knowing they were closing at 10: 30pm which really should be enough time to get our food and eat it even in their busiest times. We were shown which table we were going to be sitting at and proceeded to start put our ingredients in our bowls. We were then told we need to sit down first because there were too many people (only 5 people at the fridges) which seemed weird as you usually just shuffle along or skip over if someone's taking too long and the store wasn't even busy!? The lady took our bowls off us. We didn't realise but there was also a table of 4 waiting to pick their food to. It was bizarre. Anyways, we sat there for 10mins whilst waiting for people to make their selections. The lady came back and apologised and gave us our bowls back and said we can go up now. Went up and ordered. We didn't get our food until 10: 10pm. My partners was initially put in a take away container even though we said eat in and mine came out as eat in!? When we got our food we were told they were closing at 10: 30pm which gave us 20mins to eat our food. At 10: 20pm they started turning off lights. At 10: 25pm was asked if we want take away containers, I said yes as I had a lot of my meal left, I'd only been eating for 15mins. Lady said it was 50cents. We didn't have cash. I said don't worry about it Il just leave my food here then. She said ok and walked off and turned the store lights off! We were literally in near darkness. Only the fridge lights on and we weren't the only customers still there! Everyone was so confused. I just got up and walked out, didn't bother to try and eat my 3/4 full bowl I just wanted to get out of there. Absolutely disgusting experience from my favourite hot pot and it wasn't even busy. Don't know what happened to this location, the regular friendly staff have all gone, they have lost it! Will be driving the extra 5mins to the Clayton one that we use to go to.
Location is convenient, just right next to Caulfield station and Monash university. Between a 7-11 and KFC. Pay by the weights of your selected raw materials. You choose anythink u like, meat, vegetables, noodles, seafood. They cook for you and serve as hot pot or stir fry. Different chinese flavors are provoded. The owner speaks Mandarin, convenient for Chinese costomers. Whenever you miss Chinese flavor, just come in.
Order from doordash I suppose to get dragon hot but not spicy at all, and got diarrhoea after 3 hrs with my partner.
Love Dragon Hot Pot! Staff will ask you if you have any food allergies at the door. Then grab a bucket and fill it with whatever you want to eat. They have a great range of vegetables, meats, noodles and other options to choose from. Take it to the counter, choose your broth and spice Level and that's it. They bring it to your table for you to devour. Would highly recommend checking this place out especially on those colder nights.
Dragon Hot Pot is a really fun place to get a great BIG Bowl of Noodles with all the extras! You pick everything yourself and then pick the Soup you want it all Cooked in and then you are good to go! Service is very fast! I Highly Recommend Dragon Hot Pot
Tonight is the second time I’ve been to this restaurant and I am totally hooked! Best stir fry and hot pot in Melbourne. Extremely clean, fresh and staff are very helpful. Such a cheap dinner which packs a punch! I’ll be back again and again
Food is great but the lady with a short hair needs to improve the customer service (Very RUDE) and fix her attitude towards customers. Well I could see other customers have experienced the same thing by looking at reviews.
Amazing Vegan soup, they havd multiple variety of vegan option here. Few of the dragon hotpot places with vegan option.
I highly recommend this place.
First time went to them and ma la tang soup was searved with some chicken and needle still uncooked. Ive been to 4 different stores in melbourne, this store I will never return
Need to work on more options of food. The staff didn’t refill the empty stations straightaway. So we would get our food and then missed out on this option
Came in today 20/04 around 7pm we were assigned a table but this chinese couple took our table, the staff very kindly told the couple that table was already occupied and if they haven’t got a table yet she will give them another spot. The chinese woman refused to gave us our sit and her boyfriend joined in and started to tell the staff off. Me and friends couldn’t believe how the couple were clearly on the wrong and went off at the staff when they were just doing their job! Dragon Hot Pot should really prioritise their staff and don’t let costumers abuse them, but then again good job on the staff very quick service and friendly.
I ordered from the Caulfield store today at around 6pm and asked for 2 Mala Spicy Stirfry for takeaway. When I reached home, one of them was the Malatang Soup and I can’t eat pork, so the meal was ruined. It was such a disappointing experience because we drove an hour to get to the Dragon Hotpot in Caulfield: - (
Great idea for a soup resturant. I liked how you choose your ingredients.
My partner wanted to see more exotic
Seafood choices, but well worth a trip in to try.
Near by station and have more space to eat rather than the city one. They donot charge for sauce like other korean restaurants. A good hotpot place.
