Dragon Hot Pot 一麻一辣 reviews
67The worst service ever, I visited the place on 31/12/23 around 3.35PM. I've paid almost $80 to get a stupid waiter to test my temper. If the owner ever read the review from a customer well you paid that waiter for nothing, you owned a restaurant not just to sell food but a service as well.
Worst dinning experience ever. Poor hygiene & ugly customer service. First, you pick the ingredients for your meal which could be fun or confusing & this takes time up to 10 minutes, then they cook &serve you.
I found hair on my meal, called their attention and no apology or discount was offered. I was told to pick another set of ingredients for another meal or get a refund. I got my refund and left in disbelief & disdain
The owner of this shop needs to learn that if you have charged a credit card fee then you shouldn’t be charging another fee on top of it called ‘Mastercard’ fee. It is a joke.
Highly recommended! The best hot pot we've tried!
The broth was creamy, we picked mild spicy soup for the hot pot, added everything we want. Truly happy we tried this. When you visit Melbourne, make sure to stop by here. We will surely eat here again.
This is a good place for a quick lunch or late night dinner. Been here numerous times either for a weekday office lunch or late night dinner after a drink or three.
There is always a wide selection of items available to pick from and any soup base that you choose won’t disappoint. Service is kinda lacking but you go here for a quick feed not the world class service they are renowned for.
Don’t forget the herbal tea on your way to the counter
I love the place and food. Every time i go there i get new excitement for the food. They got variety of choices with the hot-pot sauces. They even make sure if you are allergic or not. I love this place. Visit this place once for sure. For my personal opinion it’s always 5.
I know I can't expect any customer service here. But at least some dont be rude and listen to what customer orders. I asked for sauce on the side because it's always salty and spicy. And they never do it. Being rude and not helping at all.
Please owner, if you want your business to stay, train your staffs. Thank you!
Staff are unkind and try not to make eye contact. Compared to the place on Elizabeth Street.
The taste is also disappointing.
If there is no explanation for the allergy, we are in a hurry to push the guest into their seats.
Utterly disappointed

1. We ordered 1 ma la tang and 1 ma la ban. They gave us 2 ma la tang so I told them politely that I ordered ma la ban, not ma la tang. Instead of apologising, they simply took our plate and returned with the same stuff from before (still wet from the soup) simply pulled out from the previous dish and covered with ma la ban sauce. It was completely different from the same dish I tried from Russell St. Moreover, the rice noodles weren't even cooked.
2. Our friends (two groups of four people) were waiting outside (they have been waiting for at least 10 minutes though they were in the front). We observed the empty tables (for 2 people) and there was a table for 4 people with one person dining at the end. There were spare chairs available so we thought they would bring our friends to sit there by bringing another chair. However, they brought in another group of 3 people who were behind our friends. We asked the waitress why they didn't bring our friends in and instead of apologising or showing willingness to accomodate she (Jasmine) started arguing back rudely. Eventually, another waitress came to hear about the situation and made some space to bring our friends in.
This was our last meal in Melbourne so we were excited until we were met with one of the poorest service we've ever encountered. Food was much better in Russell St. Mark my words and avoid disappointment at all cost.
Limited selection of fresh ingredients compared to David Hot Pot. Not cheap either. The cutlery and bowls were oily. Collagen soup broth was ok.
It is nice to choose your own food items a d get it done of your choice.and rate wise it is also pocket friendly
One pot hotpot. Lots of option. More ingredient option than master David.and masta David is to salty. I'll never be disappointed coming here
I have had hot pot in a few places and would really recommend this place, it's a bit pricey though cist me $96 for 2 people.
A word of warning though if you are not used to spicy food then I recommend ordering very mild.
A good selection to choose from and the potions are big, if you are a light eater and go with your partner just share as there are smaller bowls
I really enjoyed the food very much though and I ordered mild.
Enjoyed the atmosphere aswell.
Delicious bowl of soup whether spicy or not. Friendly staff as well. Definitely I'll go back again.
Great hotpot place. Must visit. I always get the dry mala during summertime. My Singaporean friend says the dry mala tastes like Singaporean mala.
I always get spam, pork rolls, thick noodles and pumpkin.
Very tasty broth! Fresh ingredients. Cost is by weight so you may wish to choose the more expensive items like meat or seafood:)
Just had the stir fry here and most of the meat is uncooked. After asking them to cook it again, it became a little bit better but it was still raw. The meat was obviously uncooked as the raw taste of all the different items can be felt, but where I was surprised was even vegetables were uncooked. Mushroom was very hard for example. Same with all meat items like giblet, and quail eggs, and the insides of pork blood is visibly raw.
I've had stir fry at a lot of different places and is one of my favorite items but this is just surprising taking into consideration the fact that Dragon hot pot is the most famous in Melbourne. I've had hot pot here which was amazing but do not eat the stir fry here. One can say Dragon hot pot's stir fry is different, but you don't have to be a stir fry connoisseur to know if a vegetable or meat is cooked. I'm just thoroughly disappointed.
I love this place. Signature soup is my favourite. Busy most of the night times, might have to stand in queue for 5-10 min.
What a experience!
Super tasty and the possibility to choose whatever ingredients you want is great!
Fresh vegetables, varieties of mushrooms and noodles, different sauces and everything is soo good!
We shared one big pot between three, which cost us about $43. Very good value.
It was my first HP experience and definitely I’ll be back to try the menu too.
After being in hospital for 2 week after having severe reactions to the vaccine I've decided to not have anymore doses. I was turned away for not being fully vaccinated. Discrimination at its finest.
