Dr Samuel Soo

One of the worst Gynos I’ve seen. Has an attitude when you express concern for your own welfare.

Dr Soo is an amazing obstetrician who has helped us have 2 babies over the last 4 years and saved my life during emergency surgery. He's an excellent surgeon, leaving me with fast recovery and minimal scarring. He is pragmatic, a professional and has a very upbeat and happy demeanor. His staff are professional and always happy to help, and I would to thank Dr Soo and his team, he has not only created & delivered our kids but also our friends kids too. Highly recommend him as a specialist surgeon.

Dr Soo is a nice guy but he do not have any concept of infection control. I saw that He was sneezing and spitting anywhere last time. Terrible environment, no hygiene. Some one got a flu but still working. Most of the patient was sneezing in the clinic, I guss they got the flu or other virus.

Amazing experience with Dr Soo (Sam). We have been working with Dr Soo for over 18 months now and left our trust in his proven process of trying to fix any other factors before moving to IVF. My wife had serious endometriosis and Sam performed the surgery to rectify this- the surgery was supposed to be 45 min but he took over 3 hours as her condition was worse than we had expected. Three months later, we fell naturally pregnant and have this week given birth to our beautiful & perfect daughter. Sam and his team are patient, empathetic and committed to the cause of giving couples the best chance possible to fall pregnant. Both surgeries were amazing and Dr Soo is an excellent surgeon, leaving my wife with limited post surgery pain and no long term scarring. Sam is a special human being who is invested in each of his patients and therefore be prepared for some extra waiting times in his suite lobby as he takes as long as it takes to properly deal with each patient. A bit of extra waiting is what you get when you are dealing with the best of the best. We cant thank Dr Soo enough for our gift.

I think after the surgery a HSG test should be done to check the tubes.a month or so later. I was advised one tube working, the other Dr Soo wasn't sure about.in this case, as the surgeon I think a follow up should have been organised.it's only now 16 months later I'm seeing another specialist to check this. But I believe this should have been looked at earlier. Other than that, I was actually happy with Sam, and found him to be a nice guy.but ye follow ups didn't happen.still, no regrets.no pregnancy, but not sorry I had the surgery.

Dr Sam Soo is a very experienced endometriosis surgeon based in Melbourne. I had severe stage 4 endo and was trying to conceive for a while. I was looking for a doctor who I could do IVF with aswell. My GP did some extensive research and found Sam Soo. I wanted someone who was highly experienced and would operate keeping in mind to preserve as much as possible so I could conceive. I had endo on both ovaries all adhesions on my bowel, everywhere, it was a mess.
Although my recovery was tough due to the extensive endo, I didn't have the typical shoulder pain from the gas they pump in because they remove it in the last stage.
I had my surgery a year ago, I fell pregnant naturally 2 months post my surgery. I delivered naturally and she is 6 weeks old this week.

Dr Soo is an experienced and capable surgeon. After suffering pain for many years and being dismissed by medical professionals, he was the first person who took my endometriosis seriously. The surgery was successful and I no longer have pain.

Dr Samauel Soo was first bought to our attention in 2010 when I was pregnant with our precious son, Dr Soo was recommended to us by a very experienced Gyno, looking back now it was the best recommendation we have ever had. Dr Soo delivered our son via C Section in January 2011, during our pregnancy it was great having our visits in Dr Soo's Rooms at Freemasons maternity hospital on Victoria Pde East Melbourne as Dr Soo has the scanning machine in his rooms so we got to see the health and progress of our precious son as often as We needed/wanted to via scan.
Dr Soo is a very very experienced Dr, As I also had endometriosis and other extensive gynaecological issue Dr Soo operated on me after many years of surgery with other Gyno's and after one surgery my endometriosis NEVER gave me problems again! Dr Soo as i say can fix ANYTHING, I just truly think he is AMAZING!
