Dr Samuel Soo

Dr Samuel Soo is an arrogant person who is not compassionate and incredibly incompetent. My friend had a terrible experience with him and he was very rude to her after he messed up her surgery. 1/10 would not recommend. Stay away from this man.

This man saved my wife and my daughter. I cannot thank Dr Soo enough. We were probably one of the most difficult cases for an obstetrician to face but Dr Soo was extremely professional and competent. We also appreciated his kindness and bedside manner. I am no medical expert but I recognise a professional who is among best in their field - Do Soo is one such person.

Dr. Soo is an awesome obstetrician and surgeon who is very experienced in what he does. He is very knowledgeable, supportive and efficient. I had a large fibroid before I get pregnant. I went to two good doctors, but they could not help me with the issue. I delivered my baby in an emergency. Dr. Soo turned up on Boxing Day and decided my c-section the following day.
After an year consideration, I eventually decided to remove my fibroid with Dr. Soo. I was very scared as the previous Doctor told me the surgery is very complicated with high risk. I had a communication with Dr. Soo and told him my concerns. He was very confident about the surgery and told me do not worry. I felt like I am in good hands, and the outcome is great. I got less pain and recovery quickly after surgery.
I am extremely grateful for his expertise. I would highly recommend anyone needing pregnancy care and gynaecology help.

Dr Soo is an excellent doctor. Along with the Melbourne IVF labs he achieved success where others could not. My wife and I had a long journey to this day with many rounds of IVF, complications and back steps however with the help of Dr Soo we now have two healthy and happy twin boys. We highly recommend his services.

Dr. Samuel Soo probably is one of the world’s best gynaecologists, obstetricians, surgeons, endometriosis and IVF specialists. Sam was all of those things for me. He diagnosed and treated my stage 4 endometriosis via laparoscopic surgery, I fell pregnant naturally within 2 months. Our second child was conceived via IVF thanks to Sam and his entire team at MIVF.
Sam’s room staff are professional, supportive and caring. We spent a lot of time at his office in East Melbourne over the years. Time and time the wait to see him can be long, that’s because he often needed to attend to emergency Caesareans, IVF procedures, surgeries that were time sensitive. Only when you happened to need him in an emergency is when you will understand. That was us! My waters broke very early in the morning before a planned c-section, we were very grateful Sam turned up and delivered our son.

Definitely highly recommend Dr Samuel Soo! I had excellent experience with Dr Soo who looks after whole of my pregnancy period and help delivery both of my babies. His entire team members are super professional and generous. He is the one you can always trust.

Dr Soo has now completed three fibroid removals for me, and I have always found him great. He is patient and listens to your concerns and doesn’t sugar coat stuff for you.

I would highly recommend him as a doctor and especially as a surgeon. He has amazing knowledge and skills.

Dr Soo was the worst doctor I have seen in my life. He was very rushed during the consultation and wasn’t interested at all to listen to my concerns as the patient. His style of communication and manners were really discomforting for me as his patient and I wouldn’t recommend him at all.

Sam is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced specialist. After some struggles conceiving our first child, Sam was able to assess our health and pinpoint an appropriate treatment option after just one month of my cycle which resulted in the birth of our son. Some years later after trying natural conception for a second child, we revisited Sam for some investigations. After a successful laparoscopy performed by Sam, and one IVF cycle we conceived our daughter. Sam also performed my C-section delivery. The journey has been seamless and Sam has been nothing but supportive, concise and thorough. I wouldn’t have wanted to share our journey with anyone else. He’s a top bloke too! Thanks Sam!

If you are looking for an OB who sugar coat facts then Dr Soo is not for you. He is no nonsense, decisive and definitely not a time waster. We had our first baby delivered by a well known OB, who was excellent but would delegate most of the tasks to his staff who did not deliver what was promised. Dr Soo delivered our second, third and forth baby.

Our second baby was a posterior baby. Dr Soo managed to turn the baby during labour, saving me from having a C section.

Our forth baby was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and body. Midwife did not want to listen when I told them to get Dr Soo because I was not fully dilated but I had a strong urge to push. Dr Soo monitored the ECG remotely and came to the delivery room and managed to deliver our baby with no complication.

Found out that we are pregnant again so we will be back for our fifth baby. On the last post natal check up Dr Soo said to me "See you next time". I will see him again soon!

Dr Soo is an excellent surgeon and obstetrician. I'm very grateful that we could meet and engage Dr Soo throughout my pregnancy. He is professional and experienced. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and families.

I had a great experience with Dr Sam Soo throughout my pregnancy. My baby was examined to be smaller than usual however Dr Soo was very professional and calming which really helped me get through an unsettling pregnancy. Dr Soo was also very decisive during labour which helped make the whole delivery process very smooth and seamless.

Very expensive and does not listen to your concern. We were with primary IVF before with two failed attempts. Dr Soo did not take those into account and same result with him too.

Very Professional, experienced, diligent and efficient surgeon. Recently I have undertaken surgery of 5cm fibroid removal by Dr Soo at Epworth Freemason in East Melbourne and very happy with the services by his team and the hospital overnight stay. Currently I can already go back to normal life just after 2 weeks of the operation. Dr Soo 很专业，临床经验丰富，可以流畅中文沟通。

Dr Soo removed a huge fibroid for me couple months ago. He is an excellent surgeon, leaving me with fast recovery, minimal pain and minimal scarring. He is pragmatic and professional. His staff are professional and always happy to help, and I would to thank Dr Soo and his team. Highly recommend him as a specialist.

Dr Samuel Soo is amazing. He is very positive. He always reassures me that everything is ok with my pregnancy, therefore, I stay positive and stress free for the whole pregnancy. There were a lot of videos or articles about dos and don'ts during pregnancy online these days which confused me. Dr Soo always clarified things for me and let me know that I was doing everything right. I had a C-section. I did not feel pain at all on day 1. The whole operation only took less than half hour. The next day, when I got out of my bed, there were some pain, but I soon adapted to the pain, and it was easily managed with some painkillers. I stopped taking pain killers from day 6. Recovery is looking great. Thanks to Dr Soo, my experience is great! I was not nervous or stressed at all about C-section as I knew that I was in the best hands. Dr Soo came to check on me on Day 3 while I was in the hospital, making sure that I am doing ok. During pregnancy, he even replied my emails when I had questions. I knew he was super busy, so I was very touched that he could reply me on time.
I will recommend him to all my friends.

Can't say good enough about Dr Soo. I am extremely grateful to Dr Samuel Soo for looking after me during my second pregnancy. Compared to my first awful and terrible pregnancy experience with my previous doctor. For me, Dr Soo treated me very careful and well. He is an amazing, thoughtful, excellent, professional Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Dr Soo is also a very experienced Surgeon who had my twin babies in one hour with minimum scar. Everything went perfectly well throughout my whole pregnancy under his care. I would say he is the best Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist in Melbourne. Also I would like to thank his professional team as well. Both his surgery and office team are very professional and always in good hand. Highly recommended!
