Got to the clinic about 20 minutes early because I was nervous, themi put me at ease really quickly and gave me a run down as to how the day was going to go, it wasn't long after I met Dr. Paul (tall Paul) super professional and down to earth, Nicole and Kirsten we're also really lovely and helped me calm down throughout the procedure and made it feel like just another day, which was good because their professionalism made the whole experience way more comfortable to me. With Dr Paul Spano's oversight and experience made the day go way smoother than I thought it would as wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it was going to be.
I'll also add the process for me wasn't just the procedure itself but also leading up to it and the healing process as-well which is what I wanted when deciding who to go to.

Had a great experience at HTM - the consultation with Dr Paul Spano reflected strongly of his extensive experience and knowledge with hair transplants. You won't regret booking with HTM. My hair transplant procedure with Dr Spano and his team exceeded my expectations. I never write longish reviews, but I want others to know they're in safe hands! Especially if you're on the fence.

Pre-surgery:

I’m not the usual patient: female, youngish, bald spot at the front of my hairline and travelling from NZ.

I researched AUS clinics because the NZ ones are slim picking. My #1 pick was HTM because they’re highly experienced, they made an effort to arrange a video consult with me, they responded to my emails fast, they’re not priced egregiously, and they positively reassured me even though I felt nervous and embarrassed trying to book a hair transplant across the ditch.

Surgery day:

The day of my hair transplant I was blimmin’ anxious, but from the moment I walked into HTM I was instantly set at ease by the team. Margaret was especially warm and inviting. Dr Spano was professional, patient, detailed, passionate, and I could tell he takes so much pride in giving you the best outcome. I knew exactly what to expect and had all my questions answered. The day was super long, but the team did everything they could to make me feel comfortable.

Post surgery:
Dr Spano talked me through the aftercare instructions, so I knew exactly how to take care of my hair grafts. Reflecting on it, I had a really successful hair transplant, and I’m looking forward to my long-term results. Now I just need to be patient!

From start to finish, was such a great experience! The whole team were great to deal with, great company, explained everything along the way very thoroughly, the passion for their craft was felt! Would recommend 10/10!

This is a 3 + year update after my FUT procedure of having 3200 grafts, I have been taking 2.5mg oral minoxidal along with 1mg of finasteride for a while now. The service I was presented with was wonderful. However, the expectations and what was delivered from my results are far from satisfied. I have attached photos. And maybe 1 out of 3 times I get a haircut I end up getting the scar exposed even though I tell the Barbour not to cut in that area shorter than number 5 as I explain what happens if they do. Regardless, I am at the point where I basically first started before the transplant, not satisfied with the results and close to $18,000 out of pocket. And now if I want to shave my head I need to get smp to hide the scar. Sorry Hair Transplant Melbourne but I cannot recommend your clinic.

I'm only a week on since my first transplant, so I can't speak to the final result yet, but I can sure as heck talk to my experience of transplant day!

It was apparent very quickly what a well-oiled machine HTM are and the kind of joy they bring to their work. They create an atmosphere of comfort and fun that can’t be understated — it’s a long day and this gets you through — and they’ve got game.

Dr. Spano is a cool cat, in one moment excited and collaborative and the next focused and immovable (not a bad thing). He knows his s**t and he’s going to be practical about what’s possible to give you the best result. If you have an idea of what you want, be prepared to use your voice.

The staff at HTM worked TREMENDOUSLY WELL to make the procedure on the day run go very smoothly. What I found most helpful was the communication I had with the reception as well as the doctors which kept everything transparent. ALSO it was good to be able to know that it was not a one day thing but ongoing care which shows HTM really care about their patients. Very much recommended!

Had a 2400 graft FUE procedure with Paul and his fantastic team last week and couldn't speak any higher of how everything went. Paul was admirably honest about what was and wasn't feasible for my particular case, which reassured me that I was in good hands. I won't know for certain how it looks until about 8 months from now but at this stage I am extremely happy with the hairline design and placement of the grafts. Will check back in 8 months from now. I had a FUE procedure (800 grafts on my crown) with Dr Spano and the whole process was a lot less complicated than expected. It took me a long time to decide whether hair transplant was the right choice but Dr Spano gave me the reassurance. Dr Spano and his team is top class and I felt comfortable and cared for during the whole procedure. I'm still eagerly waiting for my hair to grow out for the final results but so far, I have no regrets choosing Dr Spano. I would highly recommend you to have a consultation with Dr Spano if you are on the fence about a hair transplant.

Can’t speak highly enough about Dr Spano and his team. They are like a little family who made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the day.

Dr Spano provided constant feedback as to what was happening and although it’s only been two days since the surgery, I feel great and have already noticed a boost in my confidence levels.

What really struck me most was the passion the team have for performing the procedures. They do several every week but were meticulous in every detail and I could feel Dr Spano’s excitement at how the surgery was going. That was so reassuring and impressive.

If you are considering a hair transplant then I would recommend Dr Spano and his team. The surgery is immaculate and I actually ended up enjoying the day listening to them all chat away amongst each other while still taking care to make sure I was kept abreast of what was happening.

The pre care and aftercare was also excellent.

The fact that these guys are booked for months in advance tells you all you need to know about how good they are.

I had the FUT procedure done last week. The team were extremely professional and friendly and all the care was taken to making my experience painless and simple. The procedure was all done by 4pm and 3200 grafts placed. I think I nodded off a couple of times which is a testament on how comfortable I was.
What I can say about Paul is that he a perfectionist and is passionate in giving me the best result. He is very experienced and for me is essential.
His post procedure instructions are very concise and easy to follow and he goes through it all personally.
Cannot wait for the results!

I recently had the FUE procedure done with Dr Paul Spano. In the first consultation, Dr Spano provided a very detailed examination and clearly explained how he would tailor the FUE for my personal requirements. The FUE procedure went for an entire day. It was a long day but I received good care from Dr Spano and his entire support team. They were skilled and professional. Whilst the grafted hair will not be noticeable until 8 to 12 months after the procedure, I am confident that the final result will reflect Dr Spano's skills. I have already recommended him to close friends.
